1. Mississippi State: His confidence seemed to wane during the second half of last season, but there's no denying Dak Prescott's talent. All told, the former Heisman Trophy contender threw for 3,449 yards and rushed for 986 more as a redshirt junior. If he can use the offseason to become more comfortable throwing from the pocket and limit his turnovers, there's no reason he can't be the best QB in the conference.
1) Mississippi State
2) Tennessee
3) Missouri
4) Auburn
5) Texas A&M
6) Kentucky
7) Arkansas
8) LSU

Not sure about the timing, but they should do one for every position.

oh ok. Really I'd like to see their rankings for any/every position OTHER than qb, since we are so low in that one lol

You know QB's are down as a whole when Mauk expected to be the 3rd best QB in the league.

I agree with that but I think I'd put UK over A&M. Towles is a 6'5 230 pain train with a cannon arm. I think he's going to end up being a pretty high (2nd round or above) draft pick.

If he puts it all together the kid could do some great things. He has the best arm in the SEC and is very mobile. Mauk just needs to work on having a pocket presence and to make better decisions. The tools are there, it's just a question of whether or not he can put it together.

Im not a big Mauk fan but we did lead all P5 in drop passes. That being said we should be much better at WR.

Yeah I think Towles is going to be a good one over the next two years.

If you are behind Arkansas and LSU you are SoL. Surely teams like UGA and Bama will be better than that.

Pretty accurate. Allen is good for this offense for the most part - won't light a secondary up, but he doesn't turn the ball over either. Anytime you finish with 5 interceptions, you had a good season. Our receivers didn't really do him any favors last year either - if the younger guys can step up like they have on defense, his numbers should be a lot better.

I feel like Towles is going to be a consistent Bo Wallace

The only thing dumber than making a list like that is reading the article.
