How good are our Hogs?

I just have trouble watching them and turning to a Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Gonzaga game and seeing how we are going to play well against them. The way some of these teams get back and in to competent defensive sets it's really going to mess up our offensive game. When our 3 ball goes cold, it gets very tough for us to manufacture points. When Portis goes against a big game equal to his skill level it's going to hurt us.

All that being said, we're going to be a tough out for anyone. We seem to be flying all over the court all the time and that's very hard for some of these talented/sets based teams to prepare for.

Still, better than I've seen Razorback basketball in over a decade, and I like that.

We're probably going to the ship.

We're better than last year, which was better than the previous - so I've got no 'direction of program' complaints.

As far as the team this year, a couple of things do concern me. Streaky shooting on offense and second, too many times our defense lets someone drive all the way to the basket for a more or less uncontested basket.

If we don't turn the other team over, and we let them control tempo, we are in a tough spot.

I don't know how far we'll go in the tournament. I have no visions of us being a FF team this year. Depending on the seeding, we could be two and done. If we don't shoot well, we could be one and done.
If we made it to the 16 this year, I would consider it a very positive year. Anything beyond 2nd round would be icing on the cake.

I'd be thrilled with a Sweet 16 this year. We have some issues but on the whole we have looked fairly solid recently. It still looks good going forward.

I don't like how hot and cold we are on offense. When we're clicking we can run anyone out of the gym, when we're off, we lose to Clemson. I just don't think that bodes well in a tournament scenario. What are the chances we play at a level high enough to beat teams like Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, etc. 5-6 games in a row? There are games where we played like absolute dogshit and scraped by because we're in the SEC. Let's be honest, our record wouldn't be so sparkling in the Big 12. Don't get me wrong, I think we're alright. But I wouldn't be surprised if we got bounced by a lower seed just because we have a shitty night on offense.

We are a very good college basketball team. I watch a ton of college basketball as I'm big into gambling. Obviously I'm not an expert but there are several "numbers" that paint the Hogs in a very positive light.


To say Arkansas is over-rated is dumb as frick. Someone show me 15 teams better than Arkansas this season.
