Does OP not realize this was written into his contract when we hired him from UGA? This is silly if OP is complaining

Part that irks me.

There's just something about Jacobs that irks me and every little thing he does outside of the Pearl and Muschamp hires makes me wonder if this will be the decision that sends Auburn over the edge

You can't be serious. He didn't write it into anyone else's but Garner's contract.

He is a major recruiter for us. I assume it is to make sure he stays past signing day.

I am starting to doubt that.

quote:

Buie met with his primary recruiter, Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner, a few times last fall when Garner was at his school recruiting linebacker Jeffery Holland and defensive tackle Kendrick Norton. Holland signed with the Tigers in February, while Norton inked with Miami.

"(Garner) was more focused on those guys," Buie said. "It didn't make me mad or anything, but I'm committed and nobody was coming up to talk to me.

"I want a team that wants me. I don't want to be another kid on the roster. If you're recruiting me, I don't want to just sit my four years and have my career go to waste. I want to stay committed to Auburn, but if I'm not the one they want, there's no point in wasting my time. That's a place I dream to go. Their offense fits me so they don't have to show me too much more, but I'm looking for loyalty. I don't want to get in a dishonest relationship with them."

I love that the title of that article is "I don't know if they really want me".. because it probably rings true. I don't know that Auburn really wants him. If I recall correctly, I don't believe ellitor thinks Buie will sign with Auburn when his time comes around

Don't you stick up for Garner by pretending that he is purposefully ignoring the kid. Garner clearly is just not a good recruiter and has given up. He needs to go

So the kid got a little butthurt because Garner was focused on two kids in the upcoming class that they were scrambling to get last minute instead of spending a lot of time with the kid who still has another year of recruiting left? These kids are needy little bitches, don't go around asking for a pat on the back, just go out and earn it.

I was joking. If anything, I am one of the bigger Garner supporters broseidon

Completely ignoring that any extended contact with JB from Garner would be a recruiting violation as he is only a junior, I think it is obvious we want him to look elsewhere

The kid is already committed. How hard is it to call him once a week to check and see how he is doing?

This was the same kid that our coaches were WTF when he committed and we never wanted. He is only 5'8 175LB and doesn't seem to have off the charts athleticism either.

You don't call kids when you want them to start looking around.
