Remember well. I remember a time when playing in the Independence Bowl was not a job well done and getting beaten there to boot.

They haven't had a couple of good classes, they have had 4 straight top 10 classes and they should have beaten us the last 2 years. Jones has it going on up there from the ashes of Dooley and Kiffin. The team takes on the image and persona of the head coach. Jones is as energized and fired up as Richt is placid and laid back.

They take the W this year, you heard it here first.

I prefer to think like Erk Russell.......that we can beat anybody. Don't be a pussy.

I think Whopper Dawg is agreeing with you; Butch Jones sucks and Tennessee is doomed until he's fired.

Sometimes it gets confusing, but I'm pretty sure that if those comments had been directed at Mark Richt, it would have been intended as an insult to his abilities as a coach.

TN is worrisome but only because it's away. On paper we annihilate them. All depends on what I see before that game before I toss in for gloom and doom.

Of course, it doesn't have anything to do with being a pussy or growing nads.

No one can argue that TN not is a program going in the right direction. Barely won the last 2 years. They will be better, probably much better. Gird your loins, I think they get us at their house this year.

Using your logic, we beat Bama this year. Trade off. Gird your loins.

Kills me how people prognosticate next year's result predicated on past year's performance. Different players, different coaches. I think you're a closet Vol.

Busted, Whopper. UT has had 2 top 10 classes the past two seasons. So have we. In '13 their (your) class was ranked 36th, 22nd in '12. We've not been outside the top 15 in those years. Come out da closet Smokey.

I am not and have not compared recruiting classes between the schools. But you are right, they have had 2 top 20 classes and 2 top 5 (Rivals), so that kind of averages out, yes?

I am not a UT fan, but I do think that Jones is doing a helluva job in TN. That program was damn near dead and he has resurrected it. That is not debatable, it is fact. They play hard every play and to the last play. Jones is an energetic coach and it shows on the field, the opposite of Richt which I think has at last a part, if not a large measure, of why we come out flat as a pancake at least twice a year every year. And I do think they get us this year, I just hope the game is not at night at their house.

Because one thinks that a team can beat the Dawgs doesn't make you a non-fan.

Based on your comments you have to believe that we will go undefeated and win the national championship. I'll take all of that you are willing to put down in front of God, Country and everyone else. So, put your money were your mouth is. And if you renege, I guess by your own words, you are a pussy.

There's no doubt that CBJ has improved the situation at UT. But for a fan of any team to predict a loss to a team with a lower ranking.........well let's call it telling. You sound a little too much like you want it to happen. You way overstated UT's recruiting success. Yes, they've done well in the past two seasons. We've equaled that. But we have a much higher ranking of players on campus. We also have a new O-coordinator, and one of the best D-coordinators in CFB. Thus changing the picture of UT playing us close the past two years. UT may very well beat us. As might most any other SEC team in our schedule. But I'll never give in and predict a loss to a lower-ranked team. Especially with the vigor that you've shown. As I stated, you seem a little too giddy about UT.

UT recruiting last 4 years...

1 five star - 43 four star & 60 three star players.

no 5*, 12-4* & 32-3* players in '12 & '13, so they basically have no Jr./Sr. talent on their squad. All their talent this year is Fr./So....

UGA recruiting last 4 years...

9 five star - 43 four star & 50 three star players.

4-5*, 21-4* & 27-3* players in '12 & '13 so our talent is experienced & spread out over the entire four year roster...

To be clear, I hate UT, despise UT, detest UT, but as an observer of football I believe Jones has a lot of good things going on at UT. I warned about it over 2 years ago. I think the guy is a real deal.

Maybe Marty Jr. will be that cat's arse, maybe not, we'll see, but I am telling you that game is going to be a problem.

As to rankings, I could care less what the talking heads and scribes say. If that meant anything, we should have won the NC when we were preseaon No 1 and promply got our arse handed to us and Auburn would have never won their's with Newton as they were on no ones top ten even.

I guess you don't want my proposed bet, let me know if you do.

So you're willing to bet against UGA when they're probably favored?!?! I don't want to know fans like you. Go to Tech.

I think you have him pegged about right. It would take a special kind of person to troll their own fan base with as much enthusiasm and persistence as this guy. Either way, probably not someone you should engage in even a gentleman's bet.

Injuries

It's hard to believe that any team could sustain as many injuries as Georgia did last year and still produce a 10-win team. The Bulldogs had to deal with 18 season-ending injuries in 2008!

In a conference that is defined by depth, imagine the difference it would have made had Georgia not lost nearly one-fourth of their roster due to injuries.

For Tennessee, there's no place to go but up so I can understand their optimism.

Gold Jerry, gold:

"I think Chubb is getting overrated right now and Fournette is getting underrated. IMO Fournette is still the most talented young back in the conference. If I had to rate them, I'd go:

1. Henry
2. Fournette
3. Hurd
4. Chubb
5. Jonathan Williams"

You pull with your heart and bet with your head.

You want the bet or not? Money where the mouth is.
