Maybe some of those players y'all are naming will have a tough year because of competition..Who knows.

All I mean by that is if shea's team has a loss and he throws a pick or 2, I would assume that would drop him behind......or a DR that gets owned by a tackle....etc

Hopefully Alabama pulls another top prospect out of New Jersey.

OSU and Michigan both feel good about their respective chances. Mich hired his coach I believe and OSU already has the #1 RB in Jersey and is leading for the #1 QB, so fans hope that will be enough to sway him

At the Rivals Underclassmen challenge last year, Malik Henry and Eason looked "good" and Shea Patterson looked "great" per Mike Farrell. Eason is #1 because physically he is the prototypical QB at 6'5" 215 or whatever where as Shea is probably around 6'1" 190. As far as actual QB skills, Shea has the edge right now and that will get proven at the Under Armour camp in Baltimore.

All 3 will be good QBs and none of them will be #1 overall.

The most interesting thing about Shea I heard is that his accuracy is crazy good and he doesn't turn the ball over. He has 72 TDs and only 7 INTs in the 2 years he has been at Calvary. A fantastic stat but even crazier is the fact he threw 3 INs in his first 2 games after transferring to Calvary his Sophomore years!

It will be nice to have a QB that doesn't throw so many INTs (looking at you Bo and Cutler )

Yes, as I explained Eason will be #1 because he has the size. Skip to about the 30 minute mark in this podcast. This is from Wednesday and Mike goes over the top 3 QBs.

This thread is pointless. Reb fans are obviously going to say Shea is the best cause they do not know what it feels like to get a really good QB, while every other fan base is going to say Eason is the best.

A little, but it has more to do with the fact that the majority of Rebs listen to a rivals podcast where Mike Farrel said he was better than Eason and has a shot at #1 overall. No matter what fan base, if they hear that, they believe their guy has a shot at #1

I don't think a QB will end up #1 regardless. Of course Farrell will say Shea has a shot. He has Eason overall #1 and Shea overall #3 so the difference is the slimmest of margins.

So with his Dad a ND alum is he staying out of his son's recruitment? Serious question because we all know ND has their own "cult following" almost to an SEC level.

What's the deal with Eason committing to UGA? Weird seeing a kid from Washington going across the country to Georgia.

His dad wanted him to make his own choice and when Jacob visited Georgia he committed and has been a hardcore recruiter for the Dawgs ever since. He did give ND a visit early but his dad said he was never interested in pushing his son to a particular school.

That is cool & good news. Growing up in the. Midwest in the height of the "Big 10 3 yards & a cloud of dust" era, I grew to despise the Golden Domers. They get a ton of pub because they have a national following but have shell of what they used to be.

Bobo and Richt got on him early. Two of the best qb coaches in the country running a pro style system is an easy sell. Schottenheimer picked up Bobo's slack and here we are

They did but the family already said that the coach has only been at the school a few months, that they hardly knew him, and he would make no impact on their decision.

You do realize there is just a slight upgrade in competition from a Private school league to the SEC, right?
