playoffs or bust this year Aggs? Does Sumlins seat get hot with 7-8 wins this year?

Before the Miles bashers come out the woodwork, Miles has the winningest record of all current SEC coaches, a few SEC Titles, and a Natty. with that said, half the LSU fan base wanted him fired years ago

So how long yall gonna let Sumlin ride?

[quote] An argument could be made that Sumlin's most important career moves were inheriting Case Keenum at Houston and Manziel in College Station, a pair of record-setting quarterbacks. In four years with the Cougars, Sumlin had a couple of 10-win seasons, but he also lost twice as the favorite in the Conference USA title game. That second collapse cost the program a shot at a BCS bowl game. And now after two years with a Heisman winner at the controls of his offense, he'll have done no better than playing in the 2013 Cotton Bowl. Is Sumlin getting a pass for this season? On a national level, it sure seems to be the case. Does he deserve one? No. You can't have a player of Manziel's caliber and win just eight games, including none over a ranked opponent. Sumlin has a good thing going in Aggieland, no doubt. But it needs to be noted that he and his staff of assistants had a horrible 2013 regular season.

It hurts to say so, but I think A&M's defense is going to take a big step forward this year

That's a $5,000,000 a year seat too.

I don't have a clue.
That said, our university has a history of giving coaches more time than would many other schools--fierce loyalty has been described by some as an Aggie weakness.
I don't anticipate this being an issue anytime soon.
Plus, Sumlin is very well liked, and that goes a long way in Aggieland.

While I do think the aggies pumped him up way too much he doesn't come across as someone I am willing to bet against.

I think he pulls it closer together on D. Does better than expected.

But I still think he continues the aggies tradition of not winning anything on the field.

Sumlin and Miles have identical records over the last three years, and all you bitches talked about was how bad Sumlin was going to get his arse kicked in the SEC. And here we are three years later, and he's won as many games (and more bowl games) than Miles. So if you wanna find somebody who is underachieving, look a few hours east.

Well, and in all honesty - he's addressed the issues he's needed to address. Your Defense last year was :cough: lacking :cough: and I'd say he has addressed that quite well.

I really hope your QB sucks next year

People said that before Manzeil happened.

last year is exactly what we expected to out of Sumlin. 8-4....

But I am very thankful that you beat Auburn. Gig em. ;)

8 wins with a true freshmen QB and the worst defense imaginable. But now we have Chavis and have built a talented, though young, roster.
