It's going to be expensive. A.D. Greg McGarity said the proposed cost of the indoor facility will be "in the ballpark" of $30 million.
quote:
"We've always talked (about) a building that's roughly 80 yards wide, 140 yards long, 65 feet high," McGarity said. "That's just an estimate. But we have funds set aside to move forward in the planning process with our architects."
By comparison, Michigan's giant IPF cost $26.1 million:
Florida's IPF will cost $15 million.
Expected location is to be where the Hoke Smith Building and Annex are on the map below.

Yeah but we have the nicest woman's LAX stadium in the South.
Heck, maybe the North too, what do I know about woman's LAX?

Either labor is illogically cheaper in Florida or UGA is hiring the mob to build the facility.
Why is it double the price? Other features planned?

UMs is awesome, but coming from a school where Stegman is an example of beautiful architecture, i'll let it slide

That is $1.5 million per yard, in UGA IPF terms....seems overly expensive.

If it weren't for the 100yard weightroom ours would look like a chickenhouse.
Literally.
UMs is dope. but I still don't see how UGAs will cost that much in the south, even if they brick it up etc like UMs.

I like it a lot. I wonder if they'll utilize it for indoor track? We may compete for NCAA bids
