Funny thing when I talked to my best friend, who played at LSU, about Franks today this is the exact thing he brought up!

I have seen him play several times and like what I see. He's got very good speed, command of the game, and is athletic. With Pellerini this year and now Patterson Ole Miss has two of the better state quarterbacks in Louisiana's last two classes.

Just a tad bit more experience than the wanna be big game hunter up in his deer stand..."I swear Boudreaux, that buck must have been a 12 point and dressed at 250 lbs."

In all seriousness it will be interesting to see if the current OM staff can groom a young QB. Strictly "IMO" they have some very talented guys on their roster but always feel the need to go shopping for qb's that have been tailored elsewhere. I think Shea's great but who's to say Freeze won't sign the next qb out of EMCC in 2 years lol.

Wish I had your calibrated eye to ascertain these facts from ALASKA?????

I'm from the Shreveport area, have friends who coach there and know Patterson.

I was reluctant to post stuff like this because it would look like sour grapes, but physically, Franks has it all over Patterson. Quite happy with Franks, thank you very much. Cam went after Franks instead of Patterson. After what he did with Mett, I trust him.

The Rebels had better hope this guy doesn't have rocks in his head like Bo Wallace did.

It happens to the best of us. Shake it off. I do know that we will have some good games against each other this and next year. Lots of great defensive backs and defensive linemen on the field.

It's interesting that LSU continually recruits dual-threat QBs when they don't fit Cam Cameron's offense. Mettenberger type is who LSU needs to pursue, Jennings, Harris, Franks, etc. But that's just my opinion. Back to the butthurt.

I wouldn't call franks your typical dual threat.

He's under center most snaps which is what we ask of our QB's.

Keep what up? He provided a fact that Franks performed better in Cameron's eyes than Patterson. It was just one day, but who are you or anyone for that matter to argue with Cam Cameron?
