Well you are not going to be able to sell it for more than you paid. So I would not recommend investing heavily in either.

Neither is a good "investment."

Just go with the system that is either more intuitive for your gaming style or the one that more of your friends who you want to play against online already have.

Honestly if you liked the 360 better I would say go for the XBone. If you liked the PS3 better go with the PS4.

I've had a Playstation, PS2, and an XBox360. I haven't bought one of the new systems yet, but I think I'm leaning toward the PS4.

Don't know much about the PS4 but my Xbox one is a media center of sorts. Your cable box plugs into the Xbox and Xbox to tv so it's all one console. No switching inputs. Just say xbox open tv, it goes to tv. Xbox open Netflix it goes to netflix. You can watch TV and play a game at same time with split screen although it's not that practical imo.

Quit being a lazy person and go search the gaming board. That question has only been asked over there a 100 times.

XBOne

I can't do the left joystick on the PS4 after having a 360.

My brother has a PS4 and wishes he would've gotten an Xbox.

Microsoft owns the interwebs

Do a tally within your friends (lol) that play online and see which one to buy. That was the deciding factor for me.
