Has worked with both Schott and Pruitt.
Was with the jets as a Quality Control and TE coach with the Jets while Schott was there and was a GA at Bama while Pruitt was there.
Prior to working at Stanford, he was the Carolina Panthers WR coach and before that was the WR coach at App State where they set school records for receiving.

Best of both worlds, IMO. I wanted CJP to have a hand in the process. We were in dire need of new blood in that spot. Keep BMac and Lily happy, and I'm good to go with the whole staff.

Sounds good to me. Staff is in place, let's get to work.

I am not upset with this hire

It's a fantastic hire. Young guy with NFL and college experience AND has worked with both Pruitt and Schott. Honestly, as far as WR coaching hires go, you couldn't do much better.

I like the way we're going with all our hires. Young, high energy guys that are highly motivated

With this new staff on both sides of the ball it will be interesting how the team respond in tight games compared to past Mark Richt teams. I'm pumped

I approve. Looks like we are continuing to hire coaches who will light fires under complacent asses.

Nothing makes me cringe more than the "head coach in waiting" term, but does anyone get the sense that Pruitt may have been told something to that effect when he was hired? It seems like we are building this program around him and who he wants. He has his fingerprints on every single hire it seems (though admittedly this probably has a lot to do with Coach Schott's familiarity with Lance Taylor from the Jets days as well). Strange to see a 2nd year defensive coordinator being an essential pointman on all aspects of the team (offense, defense, conditioning, player development, etc).

It's certainly possible, and I'm totally down with that. The rhetoric was constantly CMB vs CJP for head coach once Richt goes to evangelize the heathen anyway.

Looks like he may not be coming now.

Is the Football Scoop guy credible reporting Taylor isn't coming?

Not really sure. They're hit and miss on some stuff but Gentry and Radi both retweeted it.
