gotta a turn signal fail on my 70 Impala...not the flasher relay but appears to be something electrical in the steering column..gonna have to try and not get a ticket until friday when I can take it back to the shop to get fixed.

Roll down your window (that crank thing on the door panel). Arm out flat for left turn. Arm bent up for right turn. That's how my '53 Studebaker worked.

I owned one for a bit. I wanted to have it rebuilt but never felt like pouring money into it and then the motor blew up so it's sitting in a backyard in irwinville georgia collecting dust.
