Good to know we took humphreys and Rooker out of the damn game because our coaches felt comfortable with a 5-2 lead. Apparently they haven't been able to get watch ESPN from the dugout this season.

Absolute dog shite. Should have swept this series, instead drop 2. Our bullpen is killing this team, what a disappointment.

What a damn tease this team was through the first 15 games. We're not sniffing Omaha this year.

It was nice to see Cohen own it after the game yesterday.

Somehow he and Butch are going to get the bullpen going. If they don't it's going to be a long fricking year and more frustrating than anything I have ever watched.

Seeing us lead games only for our Bullpen to piss them away is mind boggling.

There is still a lot to be positive about. I love that we have so many young guys, and as they improve this team is going to get a whole lot better. I would rather have a high ceiling than be seeing all we've got early.

As Hump, Rooker, Gridley, Collins, Spruill, and Robson see more bats this team will get a lot better offensively.

Defensively, I think you have to move Laster to Sunday and let Tatum come out of the pen to close for 2 weekend games. That leaves you with a strong relief guy on Friday/Sunday and Sexton is a threat to pitch a complete game on Saturday. Gets you something to work on until guys develop.

As Fitts gets more experience closing, and guys like Brown, Houston, and Mintz get more reps, the pitching on this team will improve. I would rather us be young than just plain bad.

Hell, I don't really think there is anything wrong with them, except for mentally.

Cohen said it best yesterday, they cannot pitch tentatively. At Dudy Noble, the ball park is going to keep people from scoring runs if you throw strikes. We have one of the best defensive teams in the country. Throw fricking strikes and let your defense work. Simple as that. They're pitching like little pussies. Throw it across the plate.

Now he's not saying groove every fastball down the middle but for the love of god throw strikes.

This is awful. Very disappointing I was excited about baseball season...hope it's just a slump that we will get out of soon. Lot of ball to play we need a win today

I was trying to find Cohen's head coaching career record so I went to check out his Wiki page, and found out that he's Jewish. Never knew that. Random fact of the day

He called a straight ignant game yesterday. But on a positive note, Humphreys is a straight beast right now.

Sounds like RHP James McMahon (4-0, 1.31 ERA) will start for Southern Miss vs. Mississippi State Tuesday at Trustmark Park.

USM vs LA Tech was cancelled on Sunday, so they're throwing their Sunday starter tonight. McMahon signed with State out of high school, but he transferred a week or two before school started.
