If he hits anywhere close to what he did in the first weekend you don't want to bury him in the 9 hole. You want to get him as many AB's as possible.

I mean, if he doesn't get on base a single time this weekend he will still have a >.500 on base percentage. It's a small sample but it's impressive enough it will take a long time to bring it down.

I'm not going to conduct a hypothesis test but that sample is impressive enough to confidently say he will have a pretty damn good season in terms of OBP.

Quick google calculation gives a 95% confidence interval that Robson goes >.8293 OBP for the season.

Obviously that's negating opponent difficulty.

He came up to bat with the bases loaded twice and hit into two fielder's choices.

He also had two infield singles.

Somehow I keep getting visions of Willie Mays Hayes from Major League. Maybe we've been making Robson do 50 pushups every time he hits a fly ball.

So what's the word for this weekend?

Play today, maybe get rained out the rest?

I think I saw where there is already a schedule change, to try and avoid the rain I would guess.

Predictions? I call 6-0 by end of Sunday, with one rain out.

Infield gonna be salty AF when Rea gets back.

1B - Rea
2B - Grid Kid
SS - Heck
3B - Holland

That freshman has been lights out at 2B. He's gonna put some pressure on Holland and the other guys trying to play at 3B. You just can't take him out of the lineup right now.

Love that INF..

Looks like corner OF will prolly be C. Brown/M. Smith depending on matchup which I like as well as Vick/Hump.

Lovelady may be better than Collins defensively. Going to be nice to get that bat back which looks like will be soon.

This lineup is going to be ridiculous when Collins comes back. Then we legitimately have too many guys we need to have in the lineup. Rooker will be nasty if he gets enough at bats to progress.

In that sense your hands are tied. You have Gridley, Heck, Rea, and Holland who basically have to be your infield. Collins is a lock at C. Outfield you have to have Humphries and Robson, then you still have Smith, Brown, all of whom would be great additions to the lineup. I think you have to go with Vickerson and keep Rooker at DH.

The problem that leaves is Walker, Lovelady, Brown, Smith, and Reynolds all left out of the lineup. Good problems to have.

Yeah when we get healthy I think our optimal line up would have to be:

CF - Robson
SS - Heck
C - Collins
LF - Humphreys
DH - Rooker
2B - Gridley
1B - Rea
RF - Brown/Vickerson
3B - Holland/Reynolds (Never Britton he sucks)

Fri - P. Brown
Sat - Tatum
Sun - Laster/Sexton

Mid week guys:
McCord and Laster or Sexton. Whoever isn't Sunday guy.

Pen:
Ross
D. Brown
Hudson
Houston
Gentry

I worry a bit about Rooker and Gridley once tape gets out on their weaknesses at the plate. They are will adjust, but eventually they may hit a freshman wall.

Also, I would like to see Aaron Dominguez get some mid-week work.

Yeah he's had a good arm. We have had what seems to be an oddly high number of guys try to steal second.

Yep. Closing.

A lot to be excited about. Easy to forget that we also have Collins, Paul Young, and Gentry returning soon to look forward to.
