I don't like the guy at all, but he has done a remarkable job with this team. I am definitely a hater. LOL

Should get elected in with Rupp, Joe B, and Rick. Coach UK, pretty good odds winning a Natty and being elected into the Hall!

ETA: should Tubby be considered?

Absolutely. I think when you consider his body of work at multiple schools he should be in. I'm pretty sure he took both Tulsa and Georgia to Sweet 16s before coaching at Kentucky and winning a NC. He's over .500 as a coach as well.

Will be elected.

And subsequently have his place vacated 10 years from now.

Half kidding!

Heckuva coach.

Then you're down for retroactively removing John Wooden and Roy Williams from the Hall of Fame then amiright?

I'm sorry, are you letting us borrow that from your West championship?

Is Izzo in? He deserves a spot before Calipari...

I don't think he is, but I don't have any problem with that criticism that he should be included in the class either.

I wasn't trying to take away from Calipari by the way.

No problem. I'm actually really surprised that Izzo isn't given that Boeheim is.

Since I don't like either coach, I'd be open to the idea.

Not saying Cal doesn't deserve to be in, but somewhat surprised Donovan wasn't a finalist first.

Agree. Boeheim has had a lot of early round tournament flops. My favorite Izzo stat is that before last year, every four year player who had ever played for him had been to a Final Four. Unlike Boeheim, Izzo has taken some average teams much deeper than they should have gone in March, most notably their 2005 and 2010 Final Four teams.

I think the most impressive thing about Izzo is his consistency without pulling recruiting classes consistently like a Kentucky, UNC, Duke, etc.

bgator, think maybe there's some age bias right now with Donovan? Because I really don't see any reason he shouldn't get a nomination either.

That is pretty much what I assumed, being only 49 probably puts him towards the back of the list. It really isn't a big deal, both will be in the HOF at some point.
