I heard there's a new rule for right field where they check your ID and give you a wrist band if you're 21 or over in an attempt to crack down on underage drinking. It seems like the school makes some new shitty rule every year, but this is the worst one I can remember.

Sucks to suck kids, the golden era of Ole Miss enrollment left with me when I graduated.

I was there when they redid the right field area and I can remember bringing liquor bottles out there

Calm down, it's essentially the same system it used to be. Bjork realized there were some gaps and made this happen to alleviate any potential liability issues down the road.

I heard it wasn't bad at all from some folks that went.

Looks like an effort to cover their asses in case things get really weird.

They actually scan your student ID to see your age now though right? Because I had been banking on using my old student ID to get into games this year because the people who scan the tickets are lazy shits and don't care when the scanner makes the incorrect noise. My buddy who failed out years ago has been going to games ever since on his old ID.

This new rule might screw me over.

The paper today said it was trying to keep the tradition alive instead of having to shut it down.

Also said 13 year-olds were caught drinking in past...

But yeah, gotta show ID to get wristband to drink.

Well I probably won't get to go to near as many games this season, and I have a handful of slacker friends that are still in school so I had planned on going to right field this year, but it will probably be my last.

My boss almost saw me watching your snapchat this morning btw. That would have been an interesting conversation

It's absolutely no different. I didn't show my ID and got a wristband. Also I saw two total security guards at the game. It's definitely just the athletic department covering their arse

Some friends in their mid twenties' IDs said they weren't 21 so the system is flawed

They said they could go get ID'd by the police and get a wristband but they just said frick it and drank without wristbands...no problems

People still had couches, no issues whatsoever...getting out there soon for the DH

I don't think that's such a terrible thing. Kinda looks shitty with a bunch of worn out couches laying around.

I heard the same from my buddies, but you have to think that it may be different come SEC weekends. Either way, it BS that they are attempting to do that.

I walked up yesterday and they said they wernt even scanning anymore. Didn't even pull my id out. It was the second game though. I really don't care cause I'm over 21 but I don't think this as bad as ppl thought it would be.

How strict was the cooler size rule? Couldn't make it because of Mardi Gras this past weekend, but will be pissed if they are strictly enforcing the lunch box sized 20 quart rule.

I just had a shoulder soft cooler. I saw ppl out there with decent sized coolers though. I'm willing to bet they will be stricter during Sec games but that's me guessing. I wish they would just leave the outfield be. Most of those ppl come to drink and if they are going to frick around then they will see attendence drop.

Yeah I used to bring out one of those coolers that fit 60 beers. Don't want to have to half arse it with a little bitch cooler.
