Hog Fans - Tony Vitello - What's your thoughts after a year?

Curious what y'all think of Tony Vitello after 1 year at Arkansas. I'm sure you can guess why I ask. TJ at Mizzou is in his last year and wasn't extended. New AD coming in. I'm guessing a baseball coach might be the new AD's first coaching hire.
I've watched the little video I found of him and he seems to have a real presence, handles himself well in front of a camera, calm and cool. Seems to have a true grasp of the game based on the little I got to listen to, particularly the recruiting end of things.
You guys got a much more up close look at him last year, so what are your thoughts? I'm sure you're happy with him, but anything else? Think he's ready for a HC job?

Well he helped us get the #1 recruiting class by perfect game. Our hitting wasn't great but it wasn't good before he got here either. The new ball should help with that a lot.

How old is he? I didn't see that on your team site.

he graduated in 2002 so ~36

Honestly I don't know what we can tell after year 1. Van Horn runs this show and everyone else is basically off in the distance right now. Before it was Van Horn & Butler(now the HC at Wichita State). Maybe we can tell more after this year.

Yeah, I kinda figured that 1 year wasn't much time. I won't lie. I was hoping he'd get about 3-4 years in there at Arky and then we'd find a way to come snatch him up as a HC. I think there's a lot that makes him a good option for Mizzou.
