@TheRecruitScoop: Ted Kapita emerged as one of the top post players this spring. Arkansas gets a physical, athletic big who can clean up on the glass.
quote:

@TheRecruitScoop: Arkansas has a really impressive duo coming in next year. Mike Anderson has secured a pair of top-50 recruits in Kapita & Jimmy Whitt.

See he was trending Mizzou before today too. That's just kicking the poor SOB's while they're down man.

Great get Hogs.

New Mizzou assistant coach, Fulford, was his high school coach. I really wish I could say we passed on Kapita to take his higher ranked team mate Thomas Bryant, also coached by Fulford, but that's just not the case. Would have loved to have landed Kapita. Good get.

This is the SECr so feel free to say whatever you want even if it's blatantly false.

Players emerge in July, but will any prospect in the 2015 class emerge to the heights that Ted Kapita will rise?

With a build and look eerily similar to top 10 prospect Ivan Rabb, Kapita made an enormous impression at the Lebron James Skills Academy.

The 6-8.5, 210-pound power forward form Florida who is headed to Huntington (W.V.) Prep, is now a five-star prospect according to 247Sports.

Kapita was a 5 star after his summer showing in July, sucks that his injury this year has dropped him back to a 4.

Naw man, we would have taken him in a heart beat. The only concern I heard was with grades not talent. We would have taken him without question.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but all signals point to him not qualifying.

He is expected to qualify per recent reports.

My understanding is that grades aren't the only concern.

If Arkansas can get him on campus, though, that'd be a great get. He's a really physically talented player.

He'll get to campus, our staff is confident, CMA doesn't take players he thinks otherwise, and Kapita is our last scholarship available so he feels very confident at that.

He needs to get healthy though. Pinched nerve in his hip all year.

Admittedly I don't really follow basketball recruiting at all but I don't seem to remember Anderson taking guys that don't qualify. Perhaps I'm wrong but I feel like he has an extremely high success rate with getting commits to campus.

Same, I do not follow recruits closely in Bball but Anderson doesn't take risks. He only takes guys that can get to campus.
