Nashville just opened a new stadium downtown on friday. It holds 10k and will hold 15k i think. It is a great park and is in a badass city. It will have shops and apartments eventually and i live across the street. So thats my pick.

Yeah, it's sweet. I posted picks on page 6

Easy proximity to a walkable downtown is key. That's one downside of the football championship, but I digress. Baseball candidates are plentiful.

Chattanooga is perfect, but the stadium is too small, and too far from west schools.

Nashville's stadium is a long walk from anything downtown, but close to Germantown restaurants.

Greeneville and Charleston sound great, but are too far from the West.

Charlotte is perfect, but not centally located.

Knoxville's (Seveirville's?) stadium is near nothing.

Birmingham and Memphis seem solid.

I think it should travel then... The fact that's in Hoover or the state of Alabama in general is beyond me..

Hoover is a suburb and there's nothing exciting about Birmingham. For a decent sized city, Bham is uber boring. It needs a different location.. several of them in fact. I think 4 is a perfect number.. 2 in the East and 2 in the West...

I think it will stay in Hoover , which is fine I guess.
But I think it would be more fun to treat it like the NCAA regionals. 4 3 team Round Robin double elimination at higher seed, then 3 game semi finals and finals at higher seed. However the tourney would probably take 2 weeks

The best reason for moving the tourney is that most of the teams are in it every year. Its not like football where its only two teams.

You could rotate it to three different venues and give all parts of the league a chance to go to the tournament.

Memphis
Somewhere in Georgia/Florida
Somewhere in Texas

The average fan wouldn't want to go every year, but if it was within a decent drive every three years, more fans would go, and interest in the tournament would increase.

I definitely think Jacksonville should be in there. It seats 11K, but for the ACC Championship game held there a few years they drew 17K+ and set the attendance record.

Just opened the new Sounds stadium in Nashville this past weekend.

I went and it was very, very nice.

When you say nice, do you mean the field is a nice green, the infield has a nice smooth surface, the white lines are straight, they have a mound, the foul poles are in the correct position and they have a home plate and 3 bases? That sounds like Hoover.

I mean it has brand new facilities, brand new seatbacks everywhere, live music, restaurants, walking distance to downtown Nashville, etc.

Just like Hoover.

I am entertained by the baseball. You can sit in chairbacks most games at Hoover even with GA tickets but you usually are looking for shade to get out of the heat. The brand of baseball would be good anywhere it's played. That's what I go for but I usually go to at least parts of most of the games. I guess I am just different.

Do you think the "tailgate party" atmosphere prevalent in Hoover (especially on the weekends) would be present in other locales?

bamafan, look up the word "facetious" in your dictionary if you have one. Or, to keep it even more simple for you, reference the word "sarcasm".

I'd move everything to DFW simply b/c I live here. I'll admit to being greedy that way.

Considering how many LSU fans really actually believe Alabama people control the SEC office.
