I didn't think of Chattanooga...that is a great field. It only seats 6,300...but it is downtown near the river.

Good point. Why does it even need to be a "centrally located" event when 99.9% of the fans attending are fans from SEC West schools?

I would love a rotation but think the SEC HQ will once again attempt to keep it in their backyard. I don't want it in any town which contains a SEC university.
The capacity may not be an issue as some of the venues may decide to add seats if they have a guarantee in the rotation.

In that you are just interested in the Baseball and don't care if it's in downtown of a world class city with a multitude of hotel, dining and entertainment options. Yes you are different.
Also, Nashville has a huge SEC fan/alumni population and selling it out wouldn't be a problem. Especially if your saying many of the folk that go now are Hoover natives.

Chattanooga would be a great/fun place to host, but Nashville is a better idea for many reasons. Chief among those is that Nasvhille has a greater diversity of SEC fanbases. Chattanooga is a UTK/Bama/UGA football town - and none of those three groups of fans are going to get motivated to go to the tournament once the novelty wears off.
Hell, half of the fans listed don't even know that those schools have classes, let alone a baseball program.

If we are going to throw out places on the fringe of SEC country in a new conference state, I'm going to throw out Sarasota since I wouldn't have to travel anywhere and we have a great 9K seat stadium capable of temporary expansion.

Can't you go RV camping any other week, you know, in the actual woods? Most people would rather stay in a downtown setting and actually experience things. Watch some baseball and then go to dinner or the museum or go see the symphony or hit a honky Tonk. Or if you're into the outdoors, hit Centennial Park or Radnor Lake. You get the idea. Not just watching a game and then going back to the camper.

We pretty much just use it for football and baseball. We did the "woods" camping for a long time. We go to parts of 10 or so games at the tourney. Only way to do that and not kill yourself is stay at the adjacent rv park. Plus, there are probably 30 or so MSU Rolling Bulldog rvs at the park each year. It's a lot of fun. I hate that it is likely to go away. It's one of our favorite weeks of the year. I already said I was different.
ETA - I already said maybe in this thread or another that if they move it from Hoover, I really don't care where they do it. I won't be going.

BTW, there are 2 different RV parks in Nashville(that in know of,could be more) that would be 5/10 minutes from the ballpark. Take a cab or uber to the park watch games, afterward have an evening in downtown, then head back to the RV at the end of the night. Sounds pretty fun.

I hope we come up with some type of rotating schedule. I think it would help create more fans if you made it easily accessible for people occasionally.

I agree. Rotating it will expose it to many more people. I think Frisco would be great once every three years. Put it in Texas, then put it in Sarasota for all I care the next year. At least Texas and Arkansas and North Louisiana people would have a chance to go without needing several nights of hotel rooms. You people insisting it stay in Hoover are just being fricking greedy.
And the fact that it has never been in Memphis is a travesty.

(North) Little Rock has a great little AA park downtown on the river. LR already hosts WNCAA tourneys on the reg. Lots of hotels and a good bar district within walking distance on both sides of the river.
It isn't zero sum. There are intangible benefits to the sport that can be created by rotating the tournament. Winning a bid process shouldn't be the only deciding factor.
