Think we can get Joe Maddon to come be our coach?

Ha. Rewind to 2005 Saban coached Miami. Avery Johnson coached the Dallas Mavs and Kiffin coached the Raiders. Fast forward to a baseball coaching search. Shouldn't we expect a MLB manager now? Lol.

Please don't let us win just enough to retain Gaspard.

One super regional appearance in six years shouldn't be acceptable. If it is, why are we investing and building a new park? What's the need if we're settling for mediocrity? Even if we weren't a consistent CWS team in Wells' later years, we still competed, won the SEC, and were able to make it to a super every few years.

If and when we do fire Gaspard, it will be easy to sell the program with a $30 million stadium.

Three games at Mizzou this weekend. If we're going to make a run, it needs to start on the road. Three at Mizzou, three in Oxford, Arkansas at home, at Auburn, and three at home against Vandy to close out league play.

Mizzou lost a midweek game to Arkansas Little Rock last night. They're 10-5 in the SEC, but the East is down. That said, the only series they lost in the SEC was aTm (just like us, they took one of three).

Should be a good series. Here's to sweeping.

We need to take series against Mizzou, Arkansas, and Auburn to make a regional. IMO.

Hey, I just got on here and am excited to talk some Alabama baseball with y'all. I think with 5 series left to go we have to take 3 of those 5 series and get one in the other 2 series. We also need to win all of our remaining mid-week games. I think the 3 series to win are Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Auburn. Although it would be really nice to get 2 of 3 from Mizzou so we don't have quite so much pressure on us down the stretch. I don't know if its been mentioned but Jake Walters is starting the Saturday game instead of Carter. I am really excited to see how he does because he has really looked good in mid-week games(but the SEC is a big difference). Can't wait to see how we play down the stretch

My scenario would get Alabama to 31-25 (12-18). That's enough for a regional with our RPI.

Hey guys, Mizzou fan here. Looking forward to this weekend's series. From what I have read it seems like your hitting has been pretty good, but the pitching has been problematic (the exact opposite of us). Who would you say has been the most consistent pitcher?

Of the weekend starters I would say Taylor Guilbeau. Out of the bullpen I think Ray Castillo. Jake Walters has been very good but only in mid-week starts. This weekend will be his first SEC start.

We desperately need a win today. I'm not sure how many close or extra inning losses this squad can take before this season is a bust and we miss a regional.
