Why are there so many political topics being posted on the SEC OT?

as a conservative, i prefer political talks over here. less right wing circle jerk, more sharing of ideas.

I was never a fan of the OT/SECOT split. I always thought they were better together.

The split was a way to get rid of the IM topics that would pop up on the SECr. I imagine it's the same reason the OT came into being. Just like I figure political topics began to overrun the OT and the Poliboard was made.

Right now the political topics are just a function of what the small group here want to talk about with each other. As it slowly grows, political topics will likely be forced to the Poliboard.
