Doss could maybe beef up and play LB(please dear God)

He did look good in the spring game, but so did Devin Thomas.

Jason Pellerin ran an option style offense in high school, and he was the guy that kept the offense rolling with his running, even in the championship game against Shea Patterson and Calvary baptist this year the offense was all jason. He need to develop as a passer because he didnt get many opportunities in his high school offense. But he will be a great addition to the offense down the road. He could have his own set of plays/package similar to Barry brunetti. Or if the QB ( Shea needs a breather or has to come out). I see him having as much athletic ability as a Dak Prescott and he should be a force in 2-3 years. I assume he takes a redshirt this upcoming season.

Also teams need backups. If Shea comes in as good as most expect him to be someone has to be the #2. He also would need someone to push him. I really like Pellerin. I think he has a huge upside.

Is it only me, or does anyone think that if Pellerin doesn't pan out at QB or Patterson comes in and takes it, he could be a Jalen Hurd type RB?

I think ohio state proved the importance of having multiple qbs ready to roll at any moment.

We need backup QBs. Ask Ohio State.

No way, but the way things will probably shake out will be like this.

Buchanan, Kelly and Kincaide will battle it out for the next two years. If none have shown any promise, and Patterson chooses Ole Miss, Patterson could play as a true freshman. Leaving Kincade to transfer and Kelly and Buchanon left as the backup.

Doss is a safety or linebacker in the near future. He actually has a better build for linebacker. This is the kind of player TCU recruits and turns into a linebacker. He could also transfer, if he still wants to play QB.

Pellerin will be brought along slowly along with Patterson. He will get his packages and see reps. How he develops with dictate how much PT he gets. Until Patterson's replacement is recruited.

I would like to see him, develop along the lines of Cody Prewitt. He would be an awesome safety in college and the NFL.

Pellerin is such a great athlete, he could also fit in at the flex TE position.

When you begin recruiting at higher levels, players have to make business decisions, hopefully with the heads and not their hearts.

At some point and time you have to realize, if I can't make it at the next level as the QB, what position gives me the best chance.

Most players who don't figure to make the NFL at another position, tend to transfer to other schools in order to play out their college careers at the position they want to play.

Pellerin could realize a 6'4" safety or TE can make a lot of money in the NFL and make that conversion.

Doss may figure he can't make the NFL, so he may go to Jacksonville St. and live his dream as a QB at a lower level. Same goes for Kincade, if he feels it is more important to play QB as a starter than be a back up for Kelly or Buchanon.

Buchanon will probably stay at Ole Miss as a backup, realizing his options in the NFL are limited. He also has ties to Ole Miss, and will enjoy being a part of turning the Ole Miss' program around.

Guys aren't forgotten about, coaches will regularly discuss the situations with players to put them in the best possible situation. How players mature depends on how well they will be able to adapt to the cold hard truth of college football.

I hope that Shea is the shite and gets a red shirt year, just because Kelly, Buchanon and/or Kincade are doing really well.

I also hope we can land another large mouth Bass at QB by Shea's Junior season.
