I saw these links in a thread on HV and have been giving them a watch. They're all his passing attempts from a handful of games. Pretty interesting to watch, if you have some time to kill.

Awesome, I will take time later to watch. Did you have any takeaways after watching?

While I will be the first to say he's improved leaps and bounds these past few seasons, after watching the Texas clip I just can't bring myself to say he's anything other than a smart QB with very mediocre accuracy. I had forgotten how many throws he missed in the bowl game. Better receivers will help, but I think his ceiling is middle of the pack. Luckily it doesn't take much more than that for our offense to run. I wish he'd go through entire reads more, but that very well may have been on Chaney. I'm looking forward to seeing him under Enos.

I do. We have a pretty damn good little QB.

Allen throws high more than any qb I've seen. It's frustrating because it's a simple fix yet he hasn't.

He is what he is. Look, I am not knocking his courage. He stands in there and takes big shots. We won't an SEC championship with him though.

Not unless everyone else just goes hog wild next year.

Mind you, I am not knocking him. He has gotten better every year. I think with the way he has played we wind up sitting pretty next year. Brandon Allen is who we thought he was. A good game manager, who if you don't overload his responsibilities, will win you some games and won't lose you any.

We can't ask for more then that.

BA's improvement this past season was impressive. I was surprised. I just hope he keeps improving this next year.

I'm hoping Bert went shopping for a new offensive coordinator/QB coach at the same 'Wizards R Us' store he found Robb Smith at.

If he did I look for BA to put all doubters to rest next season.

I've only watched two but there was one play in the Auburn game that jumped out to me and highlights his biggest fault IMO. As many have noted, he is not great at checking down to the shorter or underneath routes. There was a play in that game on 3rd and 8 or so where his primary was covered and the pocket started to collapse. When he stepped up, JCorn was coming across the middle, angling toward the first down marker and wide open. Allen didn't even see him even though he was right in front of him and instead tucked it and ran. If not for a facemask, we would have turned the ball over because he was short of the firsts. It was just striking to me because he could have dumped it off for the first instead of putting his body at risk on week one.

Also, another observation that we already knew is that the addition of AJ Derby was huge for our passing game. Just seeing the matchup problems him and Henry created has to be fun for Enos to see. Hopefully Cantrell can fill those shoes sooner tv an later.

Offensive line got whipped pretty good in pass protection in that Miss State game.

They were getting pressure with a three man rush on some plays.

Offensive line improved in 2014, s/b even better in 2015.

I think BA was rattled a bit by the end of that game, kept us stoned at 10 points.
