Im sorry, but there is no reason that this roster should be this bad. We lost to UMKC on our home court. UMKC We are getting blown out by middling to bad SEC programs.

We may bottom out in the 200 or lower range in the RPI ratings. There is not excuse for this level of fall out after Haith with the current roster. I didnt expect much but I did not expect to not be anywhere close to this bad.

At what point can we look towards the coaching? At what point is it "ok" to take a second look at this hire? I love Kim for what he was to Mizzou but this hire was just baffling at the time and has only been compounded after some of this off field suspensions. I mean, seriously. This man may be very much in over his head at this point. In fact, I think he is indeed in over his head.

I would be happy to eat crow and have the fairy tale ending in which a "true son" leads Mizzou to basketball glory but reality is telling me something far different at this point.

I dont know anymore.

We just have to ride this season out kilo. Obviously there is alot of internal shite that is going on with this team, we don't know the extent though. KA is trying to instill some discipline and basketball smarts with this young team, and it's apparent this is a struggle to do so. I'm not making excuses, but we did lose our top three scorers from last year, and this team has no leader other than Wes Clark, and maybe JW3 which neither seems to be very vocal about leadership and pulling this team together.

This team struggles to score, that I can understand with so many new parts. The defense is what is pissing me off. At times it's pretty good, most times it's not. Defense has alot to do with hussle, desire, and attitude. On the court, this is where I think a clue is given to what KA may be up against. We may have some malcontents on this team he is trying to straighten out because we have some good athletes that doesn't look like they are buying in and putting forth the effort.

Not that long ago you could have said the same thing about the Razorbacks in football. Especially during our winless in the conference season. We lost every way we could lose during that miserable stretch.

We stuck with it though and eventually things turned around for us. I think you are going to have to give your coach and team another year to put all the pieces together before you see what you have.

Yeah, this season is a write off. I wish I could say otherwise but y'all are just going to have to ride it out and hope that next year shows signs of improvement.

I fall some where between the two of you. I knew this season was going to be long. There is some bad basketball going on out there but I have seen some terrible coaching as well. The verdict is out on KA but right now I don't think he is the guy to get it done. I see no emotion, no improvement, and the issues with the players off the court has been a concern. Haith either recruited some guys with some terrible character issues or KA has problems getting along with people. I am beginning to think it might be a little of both.

Well I had sworn them off for this year but you dragged me right back in. What I won't do is watch another game this year. I manage to get my hopes up that this is the game where improvements will be seen and leave just pissed off that it's more of the same. I agree with everything you say, including the quoted portion.

Someone tried to put a positive spin on it listing a bunch of other schools, but for whatever it just didn't compute for me. What I can relate to is the job Rick Majerus did at SLU. His first year in, SLU sucked arse and he got rid of everyone and built the program from the ground up. When I say he got rid of everyone...I mean he got rid of everyone.

So...get rid of everyone. Every player that's been a discipline problem and missed games...get rid of them. That means Gant. That means Isabel. That means Teki. That means Clark. That means Wright. That means everyone except Shamburger (who's gone anyways), Post (who's gone anyways), Rosburg and J3.

That means next year we have Rosburg, J3, Puryear, Vanleer and Phillips. That's it. He has 8 spots to still fill then. And yes, we will suck again next year and likely the year after that. But if you're going to rebuild the program and suffer through the absolutely most embarrassing season ever, go the whole way. Don't do it half arse. Majerus did it and the team was embarrassing for 2 years and then had 2 good years before Majerus died. Hopefully we can get more than 2 good years before KA retires. Because once Majerus was gone, it was starting all over again. Once KA retires, it will be starting all over again.

Final thought...seriously....watch wrestling and softball. There is nothing with giving the support to the teams that are earning the University is doing the same thing by building softball a new stadium. If the University can reward a successful program with $$$ then I can reward the successful programs with my own $$$ and time.

Post game interview. I'd be ok with waiving the rule and not forcing the kids to show up for interviews. Just painful. Starting about 7:30, what KA sounds idealistic but almost sounds more like a CYC coach. I hate to tell KA but his job is to win AND to teach.

If they plan on keeping KA to rebuild this team and indeed, he is going to be the man for the foreseeable future, I agree with ya. Just a hard pill to swallow.

Will have to wait and see what the new AD thinks and does though.

Problem with that is it is a three plus year plan and with a new AD coming in and as poorly as this season has gone I don't think KA has that luxury of time.

Yeah my 12-16 wins prediction is looking pretty frickin dumb but then again I've never seen this sorry of BB from a MIZZOU team.

Come on man, we are all discouraged/pissed off about the basketball season. If he wants to "whine" about it, which I don't think he is doing, that's what message boards are for.

And it is time to take a deep breath here.

Look, you guys are fighting and chewing over a season, that, barring a miracle, is already lost.

OK. You suck this year. It happens.

Take a step back and examine the program going forward.

Will it take some time to get back to where you want to be? Well yes it will. Barring a miracle run.

There are no easy answers at this level. No quick fixes. No swap this out and viola. Mizzou will be good in basketball... and it might take a year or two.

You will be good. And KA might be the guy to get you there. The thing is... this year is a loss. OK. No worries. You look to next year. Do not loss faith now. What will happen will happen and next year you will see if this shite storm of a season is worth it.

There is a difference between pointing out how poor a team is playing(some could call it whining) and personally attacking other posters. The latter is what you did when you told everyone to shut the frick up. Please point me to where I told you to shut the frick up.

I honestly think Mizzou basketball will be in good hands. Young team, new coach, tough losses. They'll be more improved next season, 2yrs will definitely be a NCAA Tourney team. Might be one next season.
