Pistol Pete puts 69 points on Bama

45 years ago, I was there, it was something to see.

No one remembers that Bama won the game.

LSU did make the NIT in Pete's last year, which was much more prestigious back then.

Then, as may have heard, we went to 3 Final Fours and 3 Elite Eights after that, as well as 16 CWS. But you may be unfamiliar with those terms....sorry to embarrass you. Are you turning red? Oh, wait.......

Further proves my point that bama is a better all time program than lsu in basketball

Uh. No. It isn't. Not even close.
Not only do we have more NCAA appearances, 4 final fours to zero, we have also produced some of the greatest players ever. Bob Pettit, Sparky Wade, Pistol Pete, Dewayne Scales, Rudy Macklin, Howard Carter, Leonard Mitchell, John Williams, Ricky Blanton, Don Redden, Glen Big Baby Davis, Stromile Swift, Tyrus Thomas, Chris Jackson, Shaquille O'Neal....3 of which are in the HOF.
And bama ?????????????????????????

My dad says to this day that was the greatest individual sporting performance he has ever seen live.

He scored that many WITHOUT A 3 POINT LINE.

If lsu is better all time in basketball, please explain to me why alabama

1. Dominates head to head vs lsu and the teams have played 160+ times
2. Has more combined sec regular season championships and sec tournament chamoionships
3. Same amount of ncaa tournament appearances
4. Has more all time wins, sec wins, better all time winning percentage

And all you got is that lsu has more final 4 APPEARANCES and 2 more regular season sec titles and better players???

If lsu is better all time, why has bama had a much better record vs lsu, many more all time wins, more combined sec regular season championships and tournament championships, more sec tournament championships?

Bama hasn't had 2 great players like shaq and Pete by bama has had

Antonio mcdyss
Pete Maravich's son
Robert horry
Latrell sprewell
Reggie king
Mo Williams
Gerald Wallace
Derek mckey
James Robinson
Leon Douglass.

Again, I'm not saying bama has had more great players, just trying to explain that bama has had some really good players that have gone on the have really good nba careers

I see we're cranking this one up again! Just check 1) most all-time SEC wins and 2) winning %....and there's your answer.

Watch out! I quoted from this same article a couple of weeks ago and had every butt hurt non-Alabama fan on the forum after me. It was fun as hell yanking all those chains...the bastards despise having to deal with the stats.

Ups!...I see you've dug the thread back up...and the fun continues.
