Lock - I don't think so. GP will stay with MM unless it gets absolutely ugly, which means we've probably already lost 4 or more games, in which case he'll probably stick with Prints and/or Berk instead of burning a redshirt on a 4 loss season.

Doherty - Not at RB. If he switches positions, maybe. But with Hansbrough, Steward, Witter and Walters there already, I don't see them burning it.

Williams - Nope.

Smith - I love his height and potential but I think they'll redshirt him to polish him more before relying on him.

Hall - I think he's a bit more mature as a WR and think he will play as a true freshman.

Floyd - One of the slot guys will play. At least 1. Seems the staff were highest on Floyd, though I really like Johnson.

Johnson - Don't think so.

Harris - No. Lots of depth on the line.

Owens - No.

Jacobs - No.

Howard - No.

Beckner - Yes.

Hall - No. In other years, yes. Not needed this time.

Agbamisere - No.

Hilton - No. Return a lot in the backfield.

Perkins - No.

Warren - No.

Fatony - Yes.

Didn't include JUCO guys or Strong. So I have Hall, Floyd, Beckner and Fatony.

If im betting im taking floyd and TBJ

Also I agree with Smith, there's a reason no one else realllllly wanted a 6'7 receiver, you don't really go un-noticed when you're that big.

Owens is considered an elite high school long snapper, so could get some action in that role. I do think the LS from last year returns, so probably not.
Lock, only if Mauk has a season ending injury.
2 of the WRs don't know which 2.
All 3 JUCO linemen.
TBJ is the only defensive player, although a couple get get special teams roles.

Posted this on the recruiting board

Terry Beckner Jr- won't be a starter per se, but will play a ton of snaps. He'll back up Brantkey but both of those guys are capable of playing inside/out and we will be adding some 3-4 elements as well

Johnathan Johnson- little fella is flat out electric with the ball in his hands. We return virtually no experience at WR and have little that fits the slot profile. We also lost Murphy returning kicks and Johnson is a similar player that could fill those roles.

Malik Cuellar and Tyler Howell- pair of JUCO OTs that will likely be our starters there.

Marcel Frazier- JUCO DE that will be in a battle to start opposite of Charles Harris

Chase Abbington- JUCO RB that will battle for the #2 back

Rest will likely RS

Maybe another just in case, but they redshirted 3 guys last year.

Playing 1 would give us 7 in rotation for next year.

I think Johnson becomes our return man next year but don't think he'll play much if at all at receiver.

His entire highlight video is touchdowns, ploutside of the last play which was a 50 yard KO return.

This guy can help is next year.

And really...who else will play in the slot next year. That's not really Leftwich, Brown or Moore's game. Only other guy who really fits that profile would be Richard or Floyd.

Depends on how we want to use the slot. Mizzou has tried to have the best receiver in the slot historically. Players like JMAC, DA, Coffman, Egnew, & Lucas have excelled there. If we want a big receiver there it's probably Brown.
I picture JJ in Murphy type role. Line him up everywhere. Floyd could also fit that type of role.

Yeh, don't expect Lock to get in this year. Berk, Printz would be the option there.

Doherty - Not at RB. If he switches positions, maybe. But with Hansbrough, Steward, Witter and Walters there already, I don't see them burning it.

Agreed

Williams - Nope.

No

Smith - I love his height and potential but I think they'll redshirt him to polish him more before relying on him.

Total mystery why this kid didn't get pursued by more big schools. Glad we got him. I think Georgia was creeping into the picture at the last. I could see him playing this year. I watched the film on him and it had DGB all over it. I can't understand why he was not more highly rated. There must be something there but I didn't see it myself. I'm no expert but he has all the physical abilities right now. If he can pick up a few plays well, I could see him contributing.

Hall - I think he's a bit more mature as a WR and think he will play as a true freshman.

Not sure. Watched his film and he has some wheels. He outran his QB's arm several times which is good when you have Mauk as your QB.

Floyd - One of the slot guys will play. At least 1. Seems the staff were highest on Floyd, though I really like Johnson.

I'm with you on Johnson. I can actually see him playing this year. I noticed one or two things with him. First, this kid was in a class all by himself. He was clearly the best player on the field. Not even a close second place runner up. Once he gets a head of steam, you're not going to catch him. He's fast! Second, he has a lot of swag on the field. Some of that may be due to being the best player on the field. I hope it doesn't bite him at the next level. Kind of reminds me a little of Maclin. He seems to have that fifth gear.

Johnson - Don't think so.

I say possible. Return man.

Harris - No. Lots of depth on the line.

Agreed

Owens - No.

agreed

Jacobs - No.

Agreed

Howard - No.

As much as I'd like to see him play this year, I have to agree with you. Probably next year. I really like this kid.

Beckner - Yes.

Agreed, no brainer.

Hall - No. In other years, yes. Not needed this time.

Agreed

Agbamisere - No.

Agreed

Hilton - No. Return a lot in the backfield.

Agreed

Perkins - No.

Agreed

Warren - No.

Agreed

Fatony - Yes.

Um, no. Well hell yes! I'm looking forward to not melting when the kicking team trots onto the feild.

It's mainly because he didn't do all the camps and combines and did the AAU circuit instead. Since he didn't do camps, he didn't get the stars. Since he didn't get the stars, he didn't get the looks by the bigger names. Thank goodness GP doesn't rely on stars and found him.

Having said that, he hasn't focused on football until recently. Which is scary considering how talented he already is. However, because of that, I think he can be that much better and benefit that much more from a year of doing nothing but football. If he plays though, I couldn't be happier.

I agree with the OP's choices except one. I think T Hall has a shot to play on STs like other LBs have on their way to being dynamic LBs.

I thought about that and think you're right. I let my greed get the better of me by not wanting to waste a year with just ST play. But you may well be right about him.
