I think if Harris steps up and commits to really working hard on the field and off studying and learning are potato offense will be fine.

Mario is just a figure head, and you know it...Bama has a brand that recruits itself, with Saban being the anchor...Frank is the best in the business.

Frank IS the best in the business, BUT....LSU's brand ALSO recruits itself. LSU recruits players nationwide, and was the second choice for several big name national recruits.
Players want to play for a players's coach. And now with the addition of Steele and Orgeron, LSU may have the best recruiting staff in the nation with Miles, Wilson, Orgeron and Steele.
Also, LSU has signed in the past, just signed 2 days ago, and will continue to sign in the future - many out-of-state recruits, including those from Texas, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Nigeria and Australia this year. LSU is the only school to sign 2 players who are from outside the US.
That's in addition to signing 14 from Louisiana including 7 of the Top Ten) - in a state that, per capita, has the most blue-chip recruits nationally on a yearly basis. (no wonder all the big-name coaches flock to Louisiana rather than recruit in their OWN states.)
In the last couple of years, LSU has also signed players from Alabama, California, Nebraska, Missouri, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Arkansas.

Well, you would think at least once over the last 6 years LSU would be ahead of Alabama in recruiting .

He is, he's just not a recruiting coordinator.
Though, with the crop coming out of LA and LSU's new staff, I'm thinking next year may, and I emphasize may, be the end of Bama's run at #1.

Key will be if Bama lands all or most of the instate talent next year. Very good year in state in 2016.
