Lets talk a little baseball.

What is the projected lineup looking like?

1B - Rea
2B - Holland
SS - Heck
3B - Reynolds/Britton
C - Collins/Lovelady
DH - Collins/Robson?
OF - Vickerson
OF - Smith
OF - Hump/Robson

Fri - Laster
Sat - Brown
Sun - Mitchell/Sexton?

Closer - Fitz/Tatum

I know that Cohen loves to play matchup so I am sure ton of guys will play especially early.

Can't wait till the Arizona series.

Yeah, I agree with most all of that.

1. Cody Brown will get plenty of reps in the OF

2. If Hump isn't in OF, he'll be DH

3. I think Collins has to be in lineup on weekends

4. I think Mitchell is back in bullpen full-time

I think McCord will be a weekend starter. Other than that looks good.

Actually, outfield will be different. Humphreys will be out there, he's probably your best hitter. Rooker will see time at DH and maybe get some play in the other OF spot. Smith and Robson are going to both get time at CF.

So

OF: Hump/Vick
OF: Smith/Robson
OF: Brown/Rooker

Hump isn't going to spend much time off the field.

Humphreys is going to have a big year if scrimmages are any sign of his potential production during the season.

Is this the catcher who batted .190 in JUCO? If so he needs to stay in the bullpen.

I thought about mentioning him but I just haven't seen him just killing it in the scrimmages and OF is super crowded.

I'm sure you said the same thing about Pirtle when he was signed too.

We will probably be seeing different guys at 3B, CF and RF each game depending on LHP or RHP, at least early.

I'm just ready to see Holland.

ETA: it's baseball time, come back TDs

I had forgotten about TDs. We should put a rocky style return montage for him.

You lost me. Pirtle hit .320+ in summer league ball the summer before he came to State after leaving JUCO...I don't think anyone was saying that about him before he arrived at State.

What does any of that have to do with people being uneasy after we signed him from JUCO?
