No, it was the first signing day before Saban coached any games. 2007 class I guess?
He was naming off where LSU signed kids from and he got to Alabama last and said "AND TWO. FROM ALLLLABAMA". It was Phelon Jones and Sidell Corley.
I just remember it was on YouTube and everyone got all riled up over it since the Saban/Miles/LSU thing was at it's apex at that point.

This is true, we only take future 1st round picks at safety and left tackle. We let LSU & A&M keep the elite WRs.

Louisiana & its natives have more state pride than the average state. In Alabama, state pride might end at buckling your Smathers & Branson stitched State of Alabama belt; however in Louisiana state pride means much more.
The majority of the state has a "we're all in this together through good & bad mentality." If you choose to leave the state & play for a rival opponent may God bless you.
