Man the LSU RB is amazing. They're so mad. "That little Shea shite sure likes to talk for others doesn't he?"
They're oblivious that that's what a leader does. He's making moves.

If we was committed to them they'd be going crazy about what a great leader he is and how great it is that he is so outspoken and doing serious recruiting.

Sure would. They'd be jerking this kid off so hard. Talking about how great of a Tiger he is and how great of a kid he his. But if anyone decides to recruit against them they're all of a sudden the devil.
They just can't seem to understand that not everyone want to play at LSU.
It was great how before he committed all we heard was "he's a LA boy he'll want to play at home." And then as soon as he commits to OM, "he's not even from LA."
Other teams don't seem to do this. If Bama loses a guy they move on. If Missouri loses a guy they move on. LSU is the only team that just carries a grudge. Even State, when they lose a guy they're mad for a few weeks but then it's over.
UGA with Tunsil is the only other time I see this.

CJ still screws with State though.
DR just pisses me off because he's such a damn pussy. Losing him sucked but I'm not gonna hold a grudge. He'll regret it when he's not even starting on a 5-7 Tennessee team.

Kathy needs to chill.
Also, that's kinda what I figured. Felt odd that Shea would be the one announcing Willie's commitment.

You ride or die with the boot, baw
It's just a unique situation where LSU has had a monopoly for LA's talent for so many years, because we have no instate competition. You guys are used to losing players to State. Alabama is used to losing recruits to auburn, Florida to FSU, Georgia to everyone ( ), etc. LSU's national title teams were built around Louisiana guys, so it's kind of understandable why some melt. I've also met former LSU players who really were taken care of by getting cush, well-paying jobs by LSU alums in the state, so the connection is very much real.
But LSU's past 15 years has built itself as a brand that makes you a title contender and get you to the NFL in three years. It's why LSU gets the Cliffton Garrett's, Chidi Valentine-Okeke, Kevin Tolliver's of the recruiting cycle these days when it honestly didn't in the early 2000s. It's why Devin White can go to Ole miss, but LSU also feels great about Keion Joyner. Or Greedy going to Ole Miss, but LSU still gets Saivion Smith and Trayvon Mullen.
To be fair the level-headed posters of the RB point that out, but the high schoolers and old baws of the board melt in between posts

I mean I know it's not every fan, but my goodness they melt over there like no other.
When Malik commits, and it's not LSU, it'll be a bloodbath over there.

Well those posters are fricking idiots. I don't think Kentucky's draft entrees are as big of a deal as advertised. they still have briscoe signed and Ulis returning. Plus jerry meyer has switched his Newman pick 7 TIMES, so I can't take him seriously right now, at least for this recruitment. He went from "My sources say it's a done deal to LSU" to switching his pick 3 more times.
I wish the guy the best, but that doesn't mean I'll change my stance on going to state being a dumb move. I know his dad is an MSU alum, but who cares? If he was a Duke or Kansas alum, sure I 100% understand why he'd do that. Also the SEC is going to be loaded next season, so I just can't see State going dancing in his one season there. I think Howland will do a good job though

yeah, LSU has no shot. k. LSU went from a possible favorite, then spending a week with our other two Mcdonald's All-americans and again at the Nike hoops Summit, to being eliminated. seems legit
