He has a twin sister that he wants to go to school with. Don't know what she plays but GA or Stanford seem to be in the drivers seat.

She runs track.

Some guy on BOL says he lives with his brother, not his parents.

He's apparently getting immense pressure from other family members to follow his sister.

Georgia has offered her. Alabama hasn't.

Apparently Stanford is going to be a major player here. He wants to major in civil engineering and Stanford is ranked #3. If we have to lose him, I'd rather him go to Stanford than UGA.

Yea, if he doesn't come to Bama, then I want him at Stanford.

As a civil engineer myself, I can't argue with that but Alabama does offer a lot for civil engineering if he changes his mind.

That's the thing. We've had our share of decommitments, but we've also managed to lure some of them back. We might need to have the engineering dean speak to Robertson again and sell him the program. Also the fact that we have a few football players on scholarship that are pursuing engineering should bode well for us.

If we get him back, great. If not, then WR is definitely a place where we can afford to lose a commitment. Mykel Jones, Darnell Saloman, and Trevon Diggs would be a hell of a haul. Add in Cavin Ridley for good measure and you have a lot of playmakers at that position.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've known since he committed that it would be tough to keep him. Kids that commit that early are nearly impossible to keep, IIRC.

Yeah, plus Georgia. As in, the state. For whatever reason GA has been a hard nut to crack. Most of the players that we do get from there end up suspended or arrested at some point in their UA careers. Blake Sims being one of the exceptions, of course.

Robertson already has a CB to Georgia from the Auburn writer Keith Niehbuhr.

Slower start than usual but seems like it's about to heat up.

We got a couple of CB's for Josh Perry, a safety out of Louisiana.

Funny thing about recruiting is when we take a lot of commits early people freak out when signing day as uneventful but not taking recruits early people freak out and talk about we need more recruits. I stopped worrying about commits when CNS arrived. This also isn't directed at anyone on here so don't get upset.

This is the slowest start to recruiting we've had in a long while. I don't think it's simply that Saban is taking his time, as there have already been a commitment that's a head scratcher (TJ Simmons). I also don't think Saban is telling five stars to wait.

We also don't have that strong recruiter yet. Carter and Raekwon Davis, our longest commitments, have had one foot outside the door. Last year we had Mekhi recruiting before Barnett committed.

It could change soon, but this feels a little like the 2010 class.

I agree. We need a commit that's a big recruiter as well. Eason at GA is a good example and the two you mentioned for us last year. I stated in an earlier post on this thread or another that it seems 2017 is shaping up better for us right now.
