Why are fax machines still being used in the recruiting process?

Don't these schools have scanners and email?

Where does one even purchase a fax machine these days?

Is usually incorporated with the printer/copier. Also, fax is the terminology used with recruiting, but they can scan and email.

I beleve as of last year, they could also take a picture and send it in with their phone....

Makes you wonder why Cowart did not take this approach....

Coach said "Look over there, naked chicks" then grabbed the LOI and ran for it.

I still have an incoming fax number for my business, but it is all online - completely paperless unless I have to return something to a client/contractor. I back it up once every few months.

To be honest, I'm not sure it is worth the few bucks I pay for it each month. I've only had to fax something to someone (to a company that is about 20 years behind tech.-wise) a handful of times in the past few years, so I have an app for that - $0.99 a fax.

To prevent fraud? Easier to track where a fax is coming from, and harder to hack a phone line.

Technically, yes, if you're going by the literal 'facsimile' approach to interpreting the word.

Still, I suspect it's understood that we mean "fax machine" in the traditional sense.

Arkansas has had AOL since 2004. Hilarious joke though.
