Will college baseball still continue to be a joke this year?

Look I thought in the days of aluminum bats college baseball was a joke because of all the cheap home runs that players would get.

But the BBCOR bats have turned college baseball into a joke the other way around, making it too easy for pitchers and too many 1-0 games and too many warning track power hitters. Pitchers don't fear the home run.

I like 1-0 games in MLB, they can be exciting, but at least in MLB there is variety, for every 1-0 game you get a 10-9 game.

College baseball is nothing but 1-0, 2-1 games. There needs to be a balance, but I guarantee you these "new balls" won't make a difference.

How do you know. Have you been out there analyzing these new baseballs?

Will you continue to make constant threads about how you couldn't care less about it like you did last year?

Juice the bats and deaden the balls. Lower mounds is next step to create more offense.

The new baseball should help some. I know LSU's coaches have mentioned the ball flying about 20-30ft more this year. Hopefully it helps a little throughout the year. Still won't do much to that freaking dead zone they built TD Ameritrade in though.

Our coaches are saying the same. That Orvis and Bortles are destroying the new ball. So many beer showers are coming.

The new ball will put a higher premium on quality pitching. Middle of the road pitchers will be punished.

then you really dont understand science. at all.

Whether it makes a big enough difference is another question entirely but it will make a difference.

Only LSU fans (and now SCAR and Vandy fans) care anyway.

So now that we know you don't even watch your own team, will you tell us what other shitty threads you are going to start today?

They wont change the bats i can promise you that but Kyle Peterson said that the NCAA said that if the new balls dont work that they will work to make another solution. They wont chnage the bats back but if the balls dont work, then they need to bring the walls in. Even if the balls work, they need to bring in the walls at TD Ameritrade. I think the balls will work a little bit better but i think they will need to bring the fences in

Every team I've looked at hit more than double the number of bombs in fall scrimmages. Get back at least 75% of the distance lost by BBCOR on homerun trajectory...

1-0 games can be very exciting in the MLB. Usually a great pitchers duel and it can actually change with one bad pitch unlike college where nobody can hit it over.

I remember when Tyler Beede strolled into Starkville last year we pounded them 17-2. I bet Vandy would have loved a 1-0 game. Heck, I would prefer a 1-0 over a 17-2 most any day, unless you are beating Beede.
