I've had my fair share of times that I had given up on Ray. After the 3 horrific OOC losses, I wanted him fired. A part of me still believes that he isn't the man for the job, but you bet I'm going to be in the Hump for every game supporting our players and coaches as they represent my university. I hope you will all do the same.

I wish our video department would put up a video of the Rick's Rowdies guy walking up the entrance ramps in his cape, slow motion kicks in, then the metaphorical changing of the guard as Rick Ray gains allegiance.

Think of the man of steel trailer, cape gently blowing in the wind.

I didn't think the article was very much pro Ray. It was more, hey these kids are fighting so let's support the team, after several paragraphs laying out the Stans/Ray transition.

I think a lot of bringing up Stansbury ( or at least for me) is simply pointing out the helluva a job he did. It always rubbed me wrong that their was such hate and vitriol for the man who brought us so much success. There were MSU fans literally rooting for us to lose late in the 2012 just so he could be fired.

I always thought it was time to move on after that season and go get someone else, but I knew it was never going to be the cakewalk the C34 crew thought it was going to be (and even yet Stans gets the blame here by them, as well).

I think it's time to move on, but it's worth the discussion to have a good history lesson for 'the grass is not always greener on the other side'.

tl;dr A lot of the rehashing of Stansbury is "I told you so" on how good of a job he did.
