I know SEC fans everywhere are shedding a tear over this but it looks like Peterman is headed to Pitt.

-------

quote:

247Sports has confirmed that University of Tennessee redshirt junior quarterback Nathan Peterman will transfer to the University of Pittsburgh.

Peterman will be eligible to play immediately for the Panthers because he graduated in December.

Sources have informed us that Peterman chose to attend Pittsburgh while on campus for a visit this weekend.

During his career in Knoxville, the 6-2, 210-pounder played in 11 games for the Vols. He started two games during his time at Tennessee. Peterman is originally from Jacksonville, Fla., and attended Bartram Trail high school.

Hope he does well at Pittsburgh.

So now we have a Junior and 3 True Freshmen at QB? Nerve-wracking.

Mine as well.

In all seriousness, I wish him luck and all the best. In some ways, I do think this could be what he needed, especially if it's a psychological issue which it very well could be (hard to come back from that UF game).

But he was never gonna make it here - too much to overcome.

TBH, I think our true froshies give us a better shot than Peterman. He was psychologically ruined. A practice warrior, no doubt, but the opposite of a gamer.

I wish him the best. He tried his best and he kept his nose clean.

I hope he finds success at Pitt.

I think it's safe to say that every SEC defender who played him is gonna miss him. I hope he gets it together tho.

I think a mid 3* -- He was recruited by Chaney when he was still with us prior to heading to Arky. Looks like Chaney reached out to him since he has taken over as OC at Pitt

I wish Peterman nothing but success. He's a good dude.

This is a good move for both sides.

3* to 4*

247 had him as a composite 3* while Rivals had him as a 4*. He was ranked pretty well at his position.

However, he never thrived beyond practice and IIRC even though he was ranked good enough he didn't get an offer from UF and he's from Florida. Welcome to Dooley recruiting.
