Not a whole lot to talk about here... Was thinking Bama was poised for a tourney run... Thought Grant was gonna turn it around with all the pressure on him to succeed. He was stubborn and decided to stick to his guns(old dull game plan) So I hope UK beats us by 30 and they fire Grant at the airport... what will probably happen is Bama will win this game and put Bama back on the bubble and we HAVE to keep Grant another year...

I'm tired of boring basketball that just keeps you from getting blown out... and sometimes we still get blown out...

You go from telling us how great he is to now hoping we lose. Interesting strategy

He is the Mike Shula of college basketball. Can keep every game close but can never win any of the close games.

Gotta give Bama basketball fans credit, you're forever hopeful.

In all seriousness, fans deserve better than Grant. I don't understand why he's failed - he was a homerun hire at the time but he's done nothing to justify his pay or retention. That said, good basketball coaches are harder to find than you might think.

I wonder if Grant will come back to UF to help Billy get some better 'cruits.

I doubt he'll have head coaching options immediately so he may as well run home

Bill Battle doesn't have the balls to fire Grant anytime soon.
We could lose tonight 75-0, and nothing will change. In addition, I wouldn't be surprised that Battle doesn't even realize we have a basketball game today.

Dumb statement about Battle. He's a business man and will make business decisions when it's right.

Billy's already more than good enough (fantastic coach, imo, despite the issues this year). What you're proposing would not only be unfair but give me and much of the SEC a freaking heart attack.

The "business decision " of keeping Grant last year after one our worst years was a very shitty "business decision ".
If you own some restaurants and one is doing poorly and you make a "business decision " to keep it open, then you are equally shitty.
Battle doesn't care anything about anything other than football, and this "business decision " is hurting the university of Alabama.
Fact.

Not good you evil bastard!

In all seriousness, I think Billy's one of the most underrated coaches in all of college hoops - period - despite his salary. I'm not sure why either but he doesn't seem to get the same level of media love other top coaches do. Of course, I hope that means he goes somewhere far, far away from the SEC and soon.

That said, I've seen enough of Donnie to know he's up there too. If he survives, I can def. see all out war between UK, UF, and UT breaking out in roundball and to be frank the conference needs that.
