Watching highlights he makes everyone else look like they are in slow motion. His arm seems decent but not stellar. His team seemed to build their offense around getting him out of the pocket so he could see and spread the field. He obviously has some talented WR's around him, too. Ultimately I think his size will be a serious problem. You can't grow 3-4 inches in the weight room. It will be interesting to see how he develops if he decides to play.

He's 17, he could easily be 6' or taller before he gets his first start

A 17 year old middle infielder who hits purely for average isnt getting drafted in the top 15. No fricking way.

Not concerned about Kyler at all. Kyle Allen has a much higher ceiling and will start for the next two years. Kyler has good tape but is severely undersized and is surrounded by far superior talent than any of the other high school teams have to work with.

I do too.
Will be interesting to see what both end up doing under Christensen.

Which is the problem under Sumlin. Even under JFF, the running game was not used to enhance his abilities. With both Cam and Tebow, and effective running game was needed.

Murray looks and is about the same size as Beetlejuice from Howard Stern show.

LSU will continue with the beatings of Aggie QBs

It's not so much a "problem," as it is a philosophy.
Different coaches, different ideologies.
Not saying I agree one way or the other, just that it's the way Sumlin chooses to do things.
Our RB game will be fine.
Again--as has been the case in recent history--it'll be our defense that causes me to squirm.

Wilson is also 215 pounds and has a much more accurate arm. Murray is 175 on a good day and has the mobility of Wilson but lacks the broad frame. The biggest thing is that Murray is very talented but a sub 6 foot quarterback is a total anomaly in Division 1 football.. For good reason. Murray will make some plays but I find it very hard to fear a quarterback who will be the smallest player on the field 90% of snaps.

For all the praise he's gotten from the Ags on here, I'm not too worried. He could be pretty good, but nothing special.

It will just be another year, and another Sumlin QB being touted as a world beater by the Aggies. Color me shocked.

He's young, MC5601.
There's no way to anticipate his size several years from now.
It's doubtful he'll ever be huge; but to say he'll be debilitatingly undersized is a guess at this juncture.

AU proved (twice) that you do not have to have a great Defense to be successful with the HUNH. But they also proved that you have to have a strong running game to support it. Something A&M has yet to show, which has reflected in their overall success in the SEC.

We've had some great RBs these past few years. The staff just refuse to use them until it's too late though.

Ok. Sure.
I'm not interested in debating, to be honest.
You could be right; you nay be wrong.
I know nothing about Kyler's future; I'm just glad he's likely ours.

dude tied for the lead in HR's in the DFW metroplex last year.

I use to think he played baseball for shits and giggles until I saw him play. has a smooth throw and footwork

heard a scout say he wouldn't be surprised to see him go first round, even top 10-15.

Recruiting sites list him at 5'10" but reportedly that is very generous.

Not to worry. I am sharing a secret. Please do not tell anyone else.

Last year, we broke into Sabin's closet and took a pair of his lift shoes.

Kyler will play at 6'1 as soon as he gets adjusted to those heights.

You can never try to talk sports with Gramps. Especially men's sports. Especially having anything to do with Texas A&M, his idiocy and blind hatred don't allow it.
