If you had to take both or neither...would you trade your current coaches for that duo?

Is Albert Means included or no?

I thought both were still well liked at Tennessee. Looks like I was mistaken.

As for Albert Means, the only good thing I can say about him is that he played a part in eliminating Dubose.

You aren't mistaken.

No we love them it's just not 2007 anymore. We still love Johnny Majors too but don't want him coaching anymore either.

Mike Dubose has won an SEC football championship more recently than Tennessee.

This.

It's just that people are happy with the coaches we have and the last thing we want is another coaching search. Now had you asked us 1 or 2 coaching searches ago you'd get a very different answer. Now tho' we are wary of coaching changes.

I would've taken Fulmer back all the way up until this year. I don't think he was as nearly responsible as Hamilton for tDecline. Hamilton tied more hands than people realize -- it wasn't just the AD as an adminstrative body he drove off a cliff. (Remember the same guy set Pearl up for his doom -- Bruce walked into that meeting without a word form UTAD and no lawyers).

While I don't agree with everything Hart does (he's wayyyy to heavy handed and has treated a few ppl wrong along with being a tightwad due to Hammy's spending sprees), I think Hart + Fulmer would've righted the ship. We'd have had a few more great years under Fulmer before he retired (this time without someone encouraging it). It would've saved us the trouble and agony of the Kiff/Dooley years and provided a much smoother transition.

Pearl was screwed regardless and Fulmer just done.

Pearl wouldn't have lied had UT provided him lawyers and/or told him what the NCAA shared with us. Hamilton hung him out to dry and I don't think it was intentional (Hammy was just incompetent regarding anything not fundraising related). I disagree on Fulmer as I think Hart too would've changed things (Hammy didn't do well there either) but I know I'm in the minority.

Speaking of Phil... he was at the game today rocking the orange blazer.
