Obviously both were last in their respected categories last year, this is not meant to be a flame thread.
Both fanbases have reasons to be optimistic with young A&Ms D getting a year of experience and adding Chavis to help improve. While LSU was very young at offensive skill positions, and hopefully another year of the system will help the QB situation. Who do yall think will be more improved next year?

A&M's defense and it isn't even worth debating

LSU hasn't had an offense in at least half a decade why would I think next year would be different.

tamu has the easiest route to improvement ...

they just need to learn the concept of "defense" to start ...

This. We actually shook up our defensive coaching staff to cause change.

Meanwhile to fix up the offense LSU.....shook up the defensive coaching staff!

I think LSU's offense because i am bias and an optimist.

The truth I think LSU has a much her ceiling. IF we reach our potential we will be infinitely better than A&M has a chance of being on defense.

However i think A&M is more likely to have guaranteed improvement.

That being said, they lack a lot of the things Chavis needs to succeed.
No MLB (this ruins is essential to his system)
NO man cover corners
Weak DL (outside Miles Garrett who will thrive in Chavis's system)

They will be better, but will be limited by personal.

That was good enough for 6th in the SEC on offense.

It really depends on what you mean by improve.

aTm D:

Scoring - 126th
Rushing - 111th
Passing - 83rd
Total D - 104th
3rd down D - 67th
Turnovers - 122nd

LSU offense:

Scoring - 76th
Rushing - 25th
Passing - 116th
Total - 80th
3rd down - 71st
Turnovers - 27th

So you see, it would be really hard for aTm to not improve on those terrible numbers. Going from 110+ to 80 is a huge improvement for them, yet they would still be pretty bad. Meanwhile, going from 80+ to 50 or so is much harder to do.

So, to answer the question, odds are aTm will improve them most.

7th actually in ypg.

Drops down to 8th if you just include BCS AQ teams.
