I would rather watch the Best Kept Secret ball out at Ruckers than watch what is considered "good" about the NBA.

I absolutely hate watching teams play like UVA play, that style is just dreadful, but I can respect the team concepts they use.

If I want to be amazed by individual athleticism, skills, and performance, I'll dig out a and1 mix tape or watch a NBA game.

Get rid of the 35 seconds shot clock and add defensive 3 seconds is a start.

I agree but the officials are already burdened as is without adding the 3 sec at the college level.

Fixing the over physicality of the game is tough though.

Thats an issue that is not germane to the college game alone. Has to change at the core.

It's been shite since Dream Team. I'm not saying that that caused it. But in my mind that is kind of the demarcation of when the NBA game just stopped interesting me. After Bird, Johnson, Jordan, the Bad Boys and what not, it just lost something for me and I've never been able to find any interest in it again.

I don't think I've watched more than 30 seconds of any NBA game. The one time I watched more was because the batteries on the damn remote died.

Seriously though, just can't watch the NBA

Watch when Golden State plays Atlanta next week. The good NBA teams play amazing basketball.

Any west matchup is usually a good game. Not so much in the east

I've enjoyed Tennessee basketball this year, but I definitely agree with you about college basketball as a whole. NCAA basketball needs a complete renovation, starting with the refs.

I'll give it 45 seconds. Hell, I've wanted to watch Beal play, being from St. Louis, but for whatever reason, just doesn't draw me.

Yeah, who would want to see skill and athleticism on display?

I prefer 62-59 brickfests with 50 fouls called.

I just can't fathom how anyone who likes basketball could prefer the product in college over the NBA. It's complete shite.

I think people that "don't like the NBA" probably haven't seen it. Watch the Warriors play. There is nothing and1 about it. Great ball movement, cuts without the ball, etc

Lack of emotional attachment.

It was also when the NBA started marketing the individuals over the team more.

It went from the Lakers and Magic to Kolbe and the Lakers for example.

In fairness, NBA went through a shite period in the late 90's early 2000's. Felt like the playoffs were a WWF scripted event.

The league is much, much better now. Problem is that a generation of fans has to be wooed back. The NBA game is much better now. Cant argue that.

not as bad of a product as college baseball in this era (new bats). Hopefully the new ball makes a big difference

So the best example you can give for your argument is one team out of 30 filled with the highest skilled, most talented, best coached teams in the world, allegedly?

Better professional ball is played in premier leagues over seas, top to bottom, based on the examples and reasoning listed for one team to represent the entire NBA...

Really any contender doesn't have a whole lot of ISO plays. It's all about spacing and movement

Oh for sure and I've already seen two posters in this thread act like the game is still similar to that era, when it isn't at all. They are just going in with blinders on.

They play better team basketball in the NBA than in any level of basketball in the world now.

OKC is the only "good" NBA team that plays anything like they did in the post Jordan/Iverson era.

The NBA is poetry to CBBs Walt Whitman drooling on a page after a 6 day bender.

I agree, there was a bad period but it's phenomenal now.

Do they ever make more than 5 passes in a possession these days? I honestly don't know. But that is one of the things that made me lose interest. It was all 1 pass (if that) and go 1 on 1.

Spurs
Warriors
Hawks
Grizzlies
Trailblazers
Mavericks
Rockets
Suns
Bulls
Wizards

Hell even a bad team like the 76ers are fun to watch.

The only really terrible teams to avoid are the Lakers and the Knicks. Painful basketball.

Most teams do unless they get an open look early in the shot clock.

That is the most fun thing is the number of bad shots has dropped dramatically over the years. They only really come at the end of shot clocks for most good teams.

Very little 1 on 1 ISO, and the teams that play that way aren't any good. Spacing and movement is what is winning.

5 passes? It's not like CBB where you throw the ball around the perimeter for 30 seconds and jack up a bad shot at the end of the clock
