I was driving down college Street over across from the walmarks and I see none other than the Locos delivery guy pulled over by APD.

Yep, that was me. Haven't been back since then either

He was one of 3 guys pulled over on College. APD is apparently shifted their focus from Gay and Mag temporarily.
Loco's could shut down and I'd never miss it.

They were awesome over the summer when they had $1 pints. We had a crew that would sit there all afternoon some days. We recommended one keg that they should get and they actually got it After that ended it went downhill fast. Oyster Bar was the shite. I miss that place

Legends was pretty shitty. They tried to cater to the nonstudent crowd, which was really stupid of them.

Especially considering that entire area is pretty much all student population everyone in the East University residential area heads the opposite direction when going to eat

Exactly. It's tough to put a sports bar type place there because of Locos, but there isn't all that much else you can put in that space.

I'd like to see a small craft brewery go there because there's already a really nice bar inside. No food needed except for maybe nachos, cheese sticks, etc. Then a large beer selection.
That would be ideal since the Auburn community still has yet to have that one major craft brew they can call their own

You make a lot more money selling food in a bar, and the place already has a kitchen in the back.
That would be really cool though. Not really enough space to have the brewery be inside that building, but it would be a cool idea if they did that.

You'd be surprised how small a space you can fit a small brewery setup into. Doesn't make it easy to work, but it's certainly doable.

What do they do if it gets popular quickly? Do you think they'd have enough space to produce the amount they'd need?
Posted on 1/29/15 at 11:35 pm to Mac5500
I don't know the space you're talking about so I couldn't really say. Cahaba in Birmingham has a small distribution and has done well with a pretty small setup, albeit a good sized cooler helped them a lot.

Then you'd look into a storage facility like Blue Pants and Yellowhammer have in Huntsville. Brew off site

That's what I was thinking they'd have to do, which would be fine. And if thwy only sold the beer they brew at the restaurant it could turn a great profit. It all boils down to having a great product though.

I'm pretty sure I have to make an appearance in this thread. Rig, are you in analytics II right now?
