I read the whole thing.

Interdasting. I tried to post a fan base trolling ranking a while ago on the main rant and it wasn't well liked. By that I mean it had it's intended effect.

People on here take their fanbases' trolling defense/offense as seriously as their football team.

Well yeah. None of us fans can do anything to change the football results. We can win the Rant game though.

LSU Fan Filter (LFF)- the proven tactic of writing posts only in large paragraphs at a 10th grade reading level or higher with a ton of words. I am talking a big fat wall of text that explains your position like an AP writing test. If you want good conversation on the Rant it has to start with you, and that means your early posts or OP in a thread better be using this unless otherwise noted. The TRHs go tldr and you get conversation.

I would say this works pretty well for most of the fans on tRant. The initial words will usually run off the trolls and you get a good discussion from those who remain. The downside is in the under 30 crowd once you get past a line or two their ADD takes over and they are lost, which is to bad.

I really really wanted to go to the SEC when the SWC was broken up. I was pissed when it was blocked

I feel exactly the same way.

Yup. It is sometimes less the words than the formatting. Many of these people have never read a book, their literacy is online literacy. You put like five sentences in a paragraph and suddenly their brain turns off.

Depends on the fanbase I have found. Mizzou fans, Vandy or Georgia fans have followed me word for word. It is mostly a problem only with SEC West teams. Arky fans will read a paragraph though, they are the exception.

I"m an SWCer. Graduated when we were still a conference.

But this is light years better. The final years of the SWC were completely hollow.

the SEC is nirvana.

in a way, I am too but the current students being students means they are likely poor. So they cant travel to new places and live large like alumni can.

it's a tradeoff for sure.

My 4 years were the last 2 of R.C. and first 2 of Fran. I got to watch them lose 4 times to tu, 3 times to tech, 3 times to OU, and once to Baylor.
