Boone football expansion

Pipe dream that nobody took seriously. Literally everyone after they saw it were impressed with the images but didn't think we'd get anything close to that. Not to mention there was no way the basketball arena would be built where the Tad Pad currently is.

quote:

Bjork football expansion

Leaves room for future expansion and puts the basketball arena in a better area for campus traffic. Also opens up a huge parking area once the Tad Pad is demolished. His plan is much more plausible than Boone's was.

ETA: Also aren't you the tool that said you thought Tunsil was faking having a broken leg at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl?

New softball stadium.
New tennis stadium.

Lulz at this as a talking point vs Stricklin.

scheduled great matchups for OOC regular season games

What game better than Stricklin's?

hired women's basketball and volleyball coaches that are doing really well right now.

Lol ever heard of Vic Schaeffer? Steudeman? New tennis coach is ranked. Just hired a very promising new volleyball staff. Every hire sans mbasketball that Stricklin has made has been a slam dunk.

What has Stricklin done of note?

Everything Bjork has done -- and more.

Let me ask you this. How many major programs have come after Stricklin? Nebraska came after Bjork a few years ago.

Stricklin is an MSU grad. He's married to Bailey Howell's daughter for goodness sake.

But let me guess -- you actually believe that Florida came after Freeze don't you?

Quarter of a stadium. And there were multiple games where you could see large patches where nobody was sitting outside of the A&M and Auburn games.

Florida State

New softball stadium.

Already have a decent stadium so we don't need to build a new one

Not needed. We have one of the best tennis facilities in the nation

Will give him this. It's impressive.

I believe they contacted him but never offered him the job. He deserved the raise he got.

I mean, outside of the Tad Pad and football expansion, our facilities don't need anything done to them. It's easy for Stricklin to do those things because the sports listed were dog shite and a turd mountain would be an improvement to their old facilities.

The Hump is needing a face lift BAD. That's the next thing Stricklin needs to focus on.

Plus, it's a lot easier to expand when tearing down the large majority of an area actually improves it.

Overall the athletic programs and facilities have improved under Stricklin. Not sure how else you are supposed to judge an AD.

Your fanbase sure did taunt it when we were actually building ours. EXACTLY as the renderings showed.

But now we're "pipe dreaming" the best baseball stadium the country has ever seen, huh?

He built the new arena roughly where Boone planned for it to be built. One of my first posts on here was about where it was going to be built. I'm friends with one of the primary architects of the parking garage.

Not really. But your fanbase sure spun the shite out of it.

It's only decent scheduling if you don't get your arse kicked. Maybe this time, they'll actually open the upper deck.

Anyone with a functioning brain quickly realized that wasn't going to happen right away. There wasn't a demand for it. If we had sold out every game for 4-5 years in a row, sure that may have happened.

Have you ever seen our tennis facilities? Serious question. The only schools I can think of that have better facilities are A&M, UGA and UCLA.

And our softball stadium is more than decent. Hell I don't even think we should have a softball team because they are the biggest abortion of a program in the SEC. They've never made a post-season tournament in their history. They have WAY more than they deserve.

Agreed

Somewhat taken by surprise with this answer.

Built

Coming to both the front and back just after baseball breaks ground. This will make up 3 sides of the building. Not sure of the plans for the side facing Dudy Noble. We've got room constraints there with the new baseball stadium being alot wider.

The stringing machines and the surface are nicer than the ones at the Raquet Club in Memphis. They host a fricking ATP tourney in Memphis
