It's New Mexico not Mexico. There are probally more Mexicans in your state then here, these people are proud of their Spanish blood and hate Mexicans. It is a backwoods state though and has less the 4 million people.

Looks like he was pretty bad prior to this season. He threw something like 22 INTs in his previous year.
The 2014 highlight reel looks pretty good though. He does throw a lot of screen passes so maybe he played it a little too safe. A lot of the passes down the field were wide open or the defender was just a complete tard and fell down when the ball got there.
I dunno.. I still find it hard to believe he got featured in SI as an up-and-coming athlete and doesn't even manage to get a 247 profile .
ETA: I see MaxPreps has him throwing 13 INTs so maybe that was false info. Got it from guys talking about him in the fall on a Lobos forum LINK

I wonder if he would walk on? I bet he's smart enough to get some kind of academic scholarship.

Easton Bruere reminds me of Georgia's own Taylor Heinicke. He was Old Spice Player of the Year in the state of Georgia and set Gwinnett County single-season records for passing yards (4,218 yards) and touchdowns (44)(thank you Google). He didn't get a scholarship offer until the very tail end of his recruitment. At Old Dominion University, I watched him light up New Hampshire for over 700 passing yards. He ended up winning the Walter Peyton award that year.
I'm not entirely sure why some QBs just get completely ignored in the recruitment process despite having pretty good stats. They both should of received at least 1 non power 5 conference scholarship.

Taylor Heinicke
Saw him play in person a few times when I lived in Norfolk. That was a fun offense to watch, he just didn't have a lot of arm strength.
ETA: Bruere seems to be a good decision maker, but he was hardly pressured and almost every receiver he threw to was wide open, even by high school standards.

He seems pretty accurate (of course its a highlight video so he ought to)
However, is it just me or does he have kind of a funky release?
That might be part of the issue he is having as most coaches would probably want to change that up.
