Grant has this team sputtering on ALL cylinders. As per the usual Bama process, we will fire Grant and he will go on to do big things somewhere else, and we'll go on the hunt for the most mediocre coach available to maintain the standard that is Bama Basketball.
Oh Wimp, WHY did you have to slap your secretary?

Unfortunately, Battle will probably keep him for making the NIT.

But he's such a nice guy - 3 year extension

Tennessee is historically the second best football program in the SEC, and they aren't exactly tearing up the rankings these days.

I remember when I thought Trent Johnson and Anthony Grant would have some epic rivalry for years

This sounds like me for the past 3 years.

I remember when I thought Trent Richardson was such a lock to be a legendary running back that Indianapolis should have considered trading down for him to get extra picks, and passing on Luck.
This taught me two lessons:
1. Not EVERY opinion on pro football needs to be shared publicly.
2. A career as a pro scout is really not an option for my future.

I've been a Grant supporter up until the last couple of weeks. We looked like a different team earlier in the season, but then took a trip to Columbia, SC against a bad USCe team and reverted back to every other Grant team since he arrived. He just doesn't instill a killer instinct in his teams. It's time to sever ties and see if we can find better.
Sucks to say that. There hasn't been a coach at Alabama in my lifetime I wanted to see succeed there more than Grant.

We play @ Kentucky this weekend. #firegrant could get it's final massive push with a 79-36 type loss at Rupp.

Grant would have fit right in with Stansbury, Brady, and Gottfried. I'm pretty sure those three guys were triplets. Defensive minded and blah offense unless they had a crazy scorer.

NIT has a lot more structure to their process now. Unless Alabama goes on a big streak they won't be close to the NIT. Maybe the CBI or some such thing.

Wait what? Gottfried was defensive minded? Bahahahha
Gottfried ran the "UCLA High Post" aka recruit good scorers and let them go iso. However, we scored points with Gottfried. We also let everyone we played set their season high in second-chance points and 3 PT %.

And in the you can't make this stuff up, after CM Newton's wife Evelyn passed away several years ago he remarried ---- Nancy Watts, Wimp's old girlfriend.

Look I dont know much about the Alabama basketball programs history. But yall seem to be on par with Georgia and the rest of the SEC. Where we cant really complain about going to the NIT.
UK, Florida, LSU, and Arky are all on a different level that the rest of the conference IMO
