This shite has kinda snuck up on me fast in the last year or so, and I feel like I should do something before it's too late. Has almighty science made any strides in this area in recent years?

I have had a few friends and family use finasteride or equivalent with success. Basically stopped the hair loss and added some...not extremely dramatic but a definite difference.

You fricked dude.

In all seriousness, I feel like I saw a 60 minutes episode a few years back discussing how propecia was making men impotent. So be aware of whatever you decide to put in your body, especially if it's just for vanity. Plenty of chicks out there will frick a bald dude, but none will frick a dude with a full head of hair and a limp dick.

It's best to see a doctor. There probably isn't much he can do besides prescribe some pills. Hair loss has many factors. Diet, stress, etc. Once you found out all the hoops you have to jump through just to grow a centimeter, Ill just go with the combover & move on. Fyi my hair has been receding since middle school. If a chick complains about the hair on your head just show her the hair on your balls and call it a day.

It's just hair, shave and it off and forget about it. Besides, lots of women love the buzzcut/bald look.

I'm not claiming it's the end of the world for me or anything, but it's alarming how much I've lost in a year's time and would like to at least look decent for my wedding photos.

Go bald and then shell out $10,000 for a hair transplant.

We'll be colonizing galaxies before we're able to develop a successful hair loss preventive that doesn't have detrimental side effects.

Adjust your haircut and roll with it.

Spray-can Hair Solution

No, but seriously. Let it run its course for now. Shave(or simply cut your hair short) and deal with it. If your significant other doesn't have an issue with it then it's not as big of a deal.

Otherwise, if it is something that is affecting your self-esteem. You can look into surgical options.
