soo much more than the emotional feeling magnitude of a win?

For example,

After Bama has won their most recent sec titles, national titles, games vs lsu, auburn, tennessee, and all other teams, I have been very happy about those wins but don't think about them all the time.

However, after kick 6, 28-27, loss to lsu in 2010, 9-6, loss to Oklahoma, loss to Ohio State, those games make me feel down after the game and are tough to get over.

I thought about kick 6 just about every day until 55-44. 55-44 was a relieving, happy time

Why is the magnitude of loss feelings soo much greater than the magnitude of the joy of winning?

Because you're not drinking enough alcohol.

Sounds like you take it too seriously, it's just a game. Enjoy it for what it is.

Cause losing sucks but if it regulates your life and happiness then you might need a break

Because you're too use to winning.

Either way, it sounds like you invest too much into something you have no control over.

Dude, its just a game.

Don't kill yourself. Go poison a tree if you need to let out some frustration.

A tree is just a tree but a life s worth saving.

Because you take sports too seriously.

And because when your team loses, you are left with your mediocre life and neglected goals.

Not true to me, I feel like crap about a loss for a couple of hours...maybe a couple of days if it's brutal like kick 6. I still think back to national titles and SEC titles from years ago and grin when I think of them with great satisfaction.

Colt McCoy getting blown up, revenge 21-0 against LSU, smashing ND, the heart breaking loss for UGA in 2012 in the Dome...etc, etc. They all bring me joy when I think about them. I'm over the losses quickly, certainly after we avenge said losses.

PS--Ole Miss...prepare thy anus for this fall.

Because you have nothing in your life to be excited about other than the win-loss column for Alabama

just double the alcohol content of your normal post-game and enjoy yourself with your friends

eta: If there's anything Jarrett Lee's 2008 pick-six palooza taught me at a young age, it's that LSU's football outcome is nothing more than a game

Damn dude. It's a game. I don't think of 42-3 every day. It sucked when it happened, but your team is good. It's not like Bama won't win another game.

If you think about a loss everyday of the year, you need meds...

Because losing sucks.

It gets better as you get older. I'm guessing you don't have children. They'll give you perspective.

a loss hurts more than a win feels good for the same reason the wind hurts more than it helps in golf. physics.

really, a loss disrupts the psyche because it's not supposed to be that way. we deserve wins and therefore the good feeling is more quickly assimilated than the loss is.

Maybe you're spoiled from success. In 2010, I was aware we were reigning BCS champs on most days. I didn't talk about it, but it occurred to me frequently. It was pretty cool, considering I wasn't sure I'd see that.

But like last year's loss to Alabama, I haven't thought about it in a couple of weeks, really. The closest to the high of winning in 2010 was the low of losing in 2013, but even then I don't think about it all the time.
