WTF?

Is this game not going to count towards the ACC standings? And why would Saban schedule an OOC game with Vandy, because of the old Bama-Vandy rivalry?

Because we aren't very good at playing the football thing right now and Nashville is the best road trip in the SEC.

I am so absurdly happy about this. frick Carolina. Expansion ruined Wake's annual shot at the Holes. I think this is a good way to keep traditional rivalries alive in spite of soulless expansion.

Bama/Tennessee and UGa/Auburn should take note...and the SEC should get rid of permanent cross division opponents

I'd rather keep UF as our permanent cross divisional game every year. It is one of the best games to watch.

Did the ACC drop from 9 conference games to 8? I know some conference is I can't remember if it's them or the B1G. We need to make all major program play 10 teams from power conferences every year. I say 11, but presidents won't go for that. Currently the SEC only plays 9. We either need one more conference game, or one more mandate big time opponent.

I get that you're joking but I grew up calling yall USC, then UNC just became Carolina to me during my years in NC. I can't/don't want to change.

ACC has the same policy we do: 8 Conference games, one mandatory OOC game with power 5 team

There's some precedent for this. Alabama and Auburn do this in baseball. I believe UGA's basketball team played a non-conference game against an SEC team some years ago. I don't think UNC and Wake should have to wait 7 years between games when they've played 105 times in the past 125 years. This idea solves their problem.
