You are assuming an awful lot. Money very well COULD be the issue, and it's time to pay whatever it takes. Stec and Kul are different guys. Stec left to be a HEAD COACH. Kul would be leaving for a CO DC title and likely another job search in a year.
If it's a meaningless title....give him one. If it's sour grapes, then there isn't going to be too much we can do about it. He never seemed unhappy, but maybe he was privately.

Stec's situation was completely different. He's getting to the point in life where he's thinking retirement and essentially wanted to check something off his bucket list before it was too late. He made his money. He wasn't going to get many more opportunities before he retires. So he went for it. Good for him.
This move for Kul makes no sense. Illini is horrible. He'll get paid 1/2 as much. He's not even getting a title of DC, but rather co-DC. If he's upset about being passed over, that is on GP because that should have been addressed before they hired Odom and they should have stopped promoting Kul as the greatest thing ever to land recruits if they knew he was pissy.
No, I think/hope it's just a power play for more money and maybe some sort of title.

Matter reporting now he is expected to accept.

COLUMBIA, Mo. • A month after getting passed over for Missouri’s defensive coordinator position, defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski could be leaving the staff. Kuligowski has been offered and is expected to accept the co-coordinator job and defensive line coaching duties at Illinois, as reported Sunday by Scott Roussel, who publishes the website FootballScoop.com.

Whatever it is, it needs to be addressed by tomorrow. Simply can not have this hanging out there so close to signing day. Not with the biggest fish on our board being a DL.

From Matter:
I saw that and wasn't sure what it meant. Kul is usually retweeting religious quotes and inspirational quotes so I thought nothing of it.

Got some messages out on the Craig Kuligowski report from @FootballScoop . Nothing concrete, but one source believes he will leave #Mizzou.

Kind of lazy reporting by Matter.

Anyone shed any light on what Gabe is saying? I'm not following.
Posted on 1/25/15 at 11:13 pm to reedus23
He's just saying he's had one source say he believes he will leave.
frick...not looking good.

For those asking about Kool and recruits, he hasn't been the lead recruiter on Beckner.
The guys getting on the phone are already prepping themselves for the thought that Kul is gone.

Also, new commit Tyrell Jacobs told me that the d-line success wasn't a big part of his commitment. Said it was family atmosphere.
Damn I hate this kind of talk. Pete is talking like it's already done. He's not even trying to find out if it's true, he's already digging into what affect his having left will have.

He was passed over and was quietly pissed. That sucks. I hope by som miracle we can keep him.
Reedus and Jesus- you're right, it's not like e situation with stec. It appears it is personal.

Ripped this from TB. I believe it was Tampa I found to be pretty reliable when it came to the Haith stuff and the NCAA investigation. Could be confusing posters over there though.
He said Kul was never one big on seeking a DC job and if he was he thinks GP would have offered it to Kul 1st.
Said he thinks either the Odom that returned isn't the same that had left and is creating a bad atmosphere.
Or it's his agent seeing Arky paying an OC who left for Pitt almost a million a year and Kul is DLCOY and makes 300k.
Jimmy Sexton. Any reputation?

Why is there always so much on Sunday nights?

That's the one that concerns me. Because if that's it, there's nothing MU can do. We can address any of the other things.

Odom better be a stud. This was a possibility all along.

2nd thought - Who are we both recruiting that Illinois is just trying to frick with us? Maybe trying to slow the momentum from this weekend?
Posted on 1/25/15 at 11:27 pm to reedus23
Sexton is his agent?
That actually makes me feel much better? He's notorious for this stuff

Do you mean half million? Chaney only made 550k, I think.
