I was pleasantly surprised with Dredd, very good movie.

It was one of those unexpected pleasures. Watched it with a 'meh' attitude and it ended up being extremely well done. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

But again - will not have the wife watch it. No.

As far as movies that weren't very popular Solomon Kane was a good one.

As for a recommendation, A Simple Plan is a great movie on Netflix, watch it right now. You will think about it for days after you watch it.

Hell on Wheels

If you enjoy the travel channel then check out both of Anthony Bourdain's shows on there. Parts Unknown and No Reservations.

I've dabbled in Portlandia and Arrested Development too but it's not my type of humor. Tried Dexter but never got into it.

Marco Polo

Saw this and it interested me, as I've read up some on him.

May give it a shot.

They mix fact with fiction in Marco Polo so don't watch it for historical pleasure watch it strictly as a fiction and you'll get much more out of it. I love the story line to the show and the fact they spent $90 million on production is telling of the quality of the setting.

Enjoy

Black Mirror is another shot that's really good. I've seen some people equate it to a modern day Twilight Zone.

A Long Way Down was a pretty good movie. Has Pierce Brosnan in it.

Was wondering about that show. Premise looks cool.

It's good stuff. Reminds you a little of Boardwalk Empire but hipper. Cillian Murphy is fantastic in it. The only drawback is they only have 6 episode seasons.

Dredd was freaking fantastic. Super underrated. Sadly it's going off NF next month.

Chuck is our current binging.

Not on Netflix, but Amazon Prime has Coherence. Total mindfrick of a movie and very well-acted.

If you like Robert Downey Jr, try Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Hilarious murder mystery/comedy from 2005.
